This only confirms that the show won't suck.

    Paul Dini is the man.

It's a Disney show now so it might actually suck. We'll see.

Gargoyles was a Disney show too and I'm pretty sure the consensus is that Gargoyles did not suck.

Ditto on that. There's a big list of guys who do great work in animation tied to this show.

I'm mostly curious as to how Dini will take on Spider-Man. Has he written the character before? I'm going to assume with how well he's done on Star Wars and the other things he worked on that he'll do well.

Until it got popular and they took Weisman off it.

    Hey, kinda like Spider-Man.

Anyway. I love Dini's work and this salves the wound of Spectacular's cancellation a bit, but it still smarts. Spectacular was the best cartoon Marvel's ever done.

Hopefully this will turn out better than the last attempt to adapt Bendis' Spider-Man...which was the one before the awesome - and greatly missed -Spectaular Spider-Man

I am amazed, spectaculared, webbed, and Peter-Parkered* all at once.

As soon as I saw this news, I had a revelation: I'm always cautious about the fan-boy mentality of the industry. (I know you can't please everyone all the time, but we're the most fickle fanbase I know of.) But when I read this I realized: people will be all over this! I've never seen any other creator have the support that Dini has. I know some don't dig him, but it's the smallest percentage of "I-hate-Creator-X" I've ever seen. And it's usually not even rabid like that.

*I promise this is a good thing. It just feels uncomfortable to say.
I've got a great idea. How about we keep blaming the other party. Yeah. That's healthy.

As far as I know, he has never touched a Marvel character before.

    Agreed

Same thing with Darkwing Duck, Recess,Kim Possible, etc. Seriously, Disney has had many toons that did not suck, but you gotta love the fanboys just looking to take out their anger on something just because Spectacular couldn't continue.

This and because Man of Action(Joe Kelly being among the members) is also working on the show. This show has opne hell of a creative team, i'm really looking forward to it.

Gah. I hate Paul Dini. He's such a goofy writer. And now he'll be adding his goofy nonsense to Spider-Man along with bendis baby. This cartoon is going to suck.

Goofy? The heck are you talking about? He's not "goofy", that doesn't even makes sense.

And no it's not. If anything, with him and MOA, it's looking great.

Yeah, that "Heart Of Ice" thing was way too frivolous.

"Over the Edge" was way too light and frothy for my tastes.
