end of spoilers
The issue starts off were the last issue left off with Amora the Enchantress attacking and blaming Thor for actions we the reader is not aware of yet. Thor has little patience for her even thou he hasn’t seen her since the last Ragnarok.
Ironman is still trying to repair his armor when trolls(?) surround him. Tony asked some questions that suppose to be humorous. Once Tony mentioned Lord Thor a troll knocked him out.
Captain Steve is still fighting Dark Elves. Once that was over, he came across a pretty Elvin woman that wanted to treat his wounds.
Tony was brought to a shape shifting dragon Thor had killed once before.
Cap is getting closer with the elf woman who reminds him of Wanda. He tells her how he regret not being able to help her and how he is now bickering with his “brothers”. He doesn’t know why he is telling her all this but she tells him she is an empath.
Then the three stories start to enter twine so the main plot could be exposed. It all comes down to Asgard being on Earth witch effect the other seven worlds. The Dragon and the Enchantress blame Odin, Loki and mainly Thor for causing an unbalance to the natural order.
It seems that the other worlds are on the same plane and now under the control of Hela and she still wants Thor soul.
Until the last page I was digging this mini because it was finally explaining what happened to the other six Regions of Asgard. We knew that Asgard city is now on Midgard and Hel is now a small part of Mephisto’s Hell but JMS never bother to worry about the other parts.
It just seems that Bendis or mainly the editor doesn’t care about what’s going on in other books. spoilers:
end of spoilers The connection is just not there and Marvel is dropping the ball. Hopefully this will be address in the next issue even though this story must take place before the current storyline in Thor.
But Thor is a major book that is dealing with Hel and how she didn’t have a realm and that storyline started in Loki siege book.
Bendis dialogue was decent but his humor can be real corny sometimes especially with Tony. Amora was a tad too evil here with her monster minions. I hope Bendis explains why she is here and not reborn on Earth with the other gods.
Davis is a saving grace for this book and I will always be a big fan. His Thor is powerful and his Steve is agile and handsome. His Tony and Amora could use some work though. I didn’t like her face in some panels and Tony’s armor just came off as flat.
