The Venture Bros. is my favorite show, ever!

Can't wait for the new DVD and second half of Season 4.

    Nooooo question.

The Venture Bros. and Robot Chicken are among a select few shows that I make time for, even in re-re-re-runs. Heck, I blew off most of last season's House but still watch Venture Bros. repeats over and over again (and RC, too).

This caught my eye, though I'm not a fan of the show:

Brendan Small discussed what to expect from the new season of “Metalocalypse.” “In the '70s, a lot of bands like Kiss had members who would do solo albums while still members of the band.”

He missed the mark with that one. Around the time of Love Gun, Casablanca did release "solo" albums from the four Kiss lads, but it was basically a one-time marketing gimmick to feature each of them on different covers in stage make-up; the idea being, obviously, to collect all four so as to have a single Kiss album... sort of. I had them all (press copies, I never bought a Kiss album - but did see their first Canadian show in Kitchener which was stupendous and featured an unknown opening act called "Cheap Trick". heh.) but have absolutely no recollection as to what the music was like; any assumptions one might make are probably true. They may have done "real" solo work after that but it wasn't and ain't my cuppa.

Which isn't to say that employing this sort of gimmick into the show is a bad idea, or a good one, merely clearing up the gory details.
