Default CBR: Things Get Epic In "Avengers" #4

Marvel Comics has just released a teaser image from "Avengers" #4 featuring a decidedly grandiose battle scene including Ultron, Dr. Doom and more along with the promise "this is just hoe the issue begins..."

I'll give it to Jrjr... he knows how to pack a mob scene.

That definatley looks like a lot of fun.

heh heh heh... looks cool... surprised to see C.A.P. or whatever it was called from Millar's F4 run in there.

JrJr is hands down one of the best artists in comics.

    This scene proves it.

But who's the character with dark hair right below Juggernaut in the bottom right corner?

Cyclops, Monica, Silver Surfer, Volstagg, Juggernaut...life is good.
This just in: Chris Sprouse has pulled out of Orson Scott Card.

Bendis really likes to blow up New York in Avengers books.

I liked JRJR on Kick-Ass, but I cannot get into anything else of his. This looks like a jumbled mess. Personally, it's not for me.

It took me a minute, but there's Quasar on the left side. Quasar's back in an Avengers title, albeit in an alt timeline sort of way. Life is good.
    Wendell Vaughn is Quasar.

Yeah, the neat thing about that pic is that it's so dense you can just look at it 10 different times and still find something new.

There's Volstag in the background there with a machine gun or something... and Magneto's off on the side too. There's a lot going on there.

"this one's so full of action that it almost broke JRJR!"

I laughed at that one. Book looks good, waiting for the trade though. I genuinely want to support monthlies, but I just can't afford/justify 4 bucks a book.

Avengers is a book you don't have to feel too guilty about when you go to trade wait. For something like Moon Knight, it might be the kiss of death for the series but Avengers isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
