i can't even begin to describe how nervous i am just standing in front of people like this.
the idea of actually opening this hole in my face and making a sound at them just seems terrifying.
how these guys got up the courage to not only talk to their idols but got the privilege of doing mundane tasks for them astounds me to no end.
i seriously have to stop being such a pussy if i want to get into comics.

They're just people, man. I know that is hard to grasp sometimes because we're use to reading about them and seeing their names, but they're just like you and me. Just don't come off as crazy psycho fanboy and you should be okay.

I don't know how old you are, but maybe look into becoming an intern at Marvel or DC if you can. It's a good (albeit non-paying) way to get your foot in the door.

Sure does seem to be easier to get into comics if you
-already have connections in the business
    or
    -are already famous.

Compared to, y'know, being a completely unknown writer and getting a script accepted.

Writing, sure. Taking advantage of just happening to know the right people? Meh.
