I took a chance a bit & got the Modesty Blaise adap that DC put out in the early 90's (the one with the Dick Giordano art) at a used place.

The Hood by Vaughn - an enjoyable but stunted story, I would like to know more of it, at some point.

The Mighty Avengers by Bendis - a very fun ride, lots of action and the building of a new team. I really enjoyed this, and cannot wait to read the rest.

Picked up Witchblade vol 10, 11, and 3. Got two for free with the purchase of one, so figured I would give it a shot. Not bad. May be picking up some more in the future (though one cove was bend pretty bad and the other was binded very poorly. Front/Back cover almost off).

Also, after seeing the Red Hood animated movie, got myself the two TPB's of Batman: Under the Hood as well.

As far as comics go, the Tick only has 12 issues. They release The Tick Omnibus Volumes 1, 2, & 3.

    #1 contains issues 1-6
    #2 contains issues 7-10
    #3 contains issues 11-12

The Tick: The complete Edlund contains all 12 issues, plus bonus material and a special issue.

There have been other writers who have done mini series for The Tick, but Edlund's stuff is considered to be the best and it's what many of the cartoons are based off of. The Tick: The complete Works contains all the mini series in a single book, but it's harder to find now a days.

So far I have loved the collection of Edlund's stuff, you should definitely pick it up if you liked the TV show.

The first six issues have been repackaged a lot in both the original black and white and color as things like “The Tick Omnibus vol 1” and “The Naked City”. “The Complete Edlund” is the newest trade with those issues. In fact, like Genocide said, it contains ALL of the original creator’s issues.

After that other creative teams have been given the series and the quality has been all over the place.

There have been other recent “Complete” collections but they’re organized more by theme* than anything else so the chronology jumps around a little. They’re still pretty easy to follow though they do break up the Paul/Man-Eating Cow crossover into their perspective trades.

*Some collect particular minis**, one collects all the specials/one-shots, and there are a couple collections of the handful of books that were originally in color.

**Karma Tornado is probably the best of the follow-ups. The early issues are written by the guy who went on to co-create the Venture Bros (and he also helped out on the Tick cartoon)

I loved him as a guest star but I thought his book was the weakest of the spin-offs. Plus the tail end of his series crosses over with The Man-Eating Cow but isn’t collected with it (well, it was in the out-of-print Omnibi but not the new stuff).

MEC is collected though. In fact it shares a trade with the Chainsaw Vigilante. Their stories aren’t all that related but they’re both pretty short so it helps round out the trade.
New and improved me. Now with a CAPITAL “B”.
