Alan Moore's retiring from comics? I wonder if that's true.
Well if it is, it's suitably deconstructive of the medium. The first issue tackles the comic book frame brilliantly (watch my analysis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gCH7e0r70U ). I'm hoping each issue will tackle a separate aspect of the medium.
Wow, that's pretty interesting. Unfortunately, I missed the first issue of that, so thought I might just trade-wait, but you've got me all interested now. Hopefully, my LCS can still order me a copy.
I hope that tidbit isn't totally accurate, though. He's still got two volumes of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen to go, and that comic he and Steve Moore had planned about magic. I'd hate to think he's decided to drop those; I was looking forward to all that.
Lady Death just hasn't been as fun since her days in the Chaos! Cosmos...I was hoping with Chaos! coming back thanks to Dynamite that maybe Lady Death would finally be able to return home and be her former awesome self again...
Its good to see the old lady death stuff will be collected again and at reasonable price i would imagine.
I used to get a lot from Avatar in the way of their horror lines (freddy, jason, the living dead books), but i got feed up with them after a while. The Newline books ended abruptly so DC could do next to nothing with them.
Nearly every escape of the living dead and even night of the living dead book was the same. Gratuitous nudity, super gore, and usually some kind of cheap shock like a baby getting eaten in the New York issue last year. Warren Ellis' Black Gas was even worse
Outside of Lady Death, not much exciting to me from this.
LOEG: Century is a previous work to Neonomicon. Bumper Book of Magic is a collaborative writing job with Steve Moore. Avatar are also adapting Fashion Beast next year. But, as it stands, Neonomicon is the final graphic novel that he is writing alone. This may of course change.
yea nothing really interesting
*shrugs* I actually prefer Lady Death as a hero so I'm hopeing she'll be a hero in this relaunch that's just me...

New question will there be a new Medieval Lady Death series too?
