Always nice to see new genre titles linked to the DCU. Sounds like fun too- I might pick it up in trade if I hear good things about it. Sure looks nice.
I hope Lopresti gets to use Swamp Thing. There's really no reason he should stay cordoned off at Vertigo considering his DCU roots. I mean, the Doom Patrol and Animal Man came back...
Love me some monsters.
Currently reading:47 Ronin, Creepy, Frankenstein Alive Alive, The Goon, Haunted Horror, Hellboy, To Hell You Ride
gARBAGE mAN is my new favorite character! Can't wait to read this.
I don't read any DC titles right now, but I like anthologies a lot...
What's his sidekicks name? Maggot Boy?
It may be rose-colored glasses, but I liked the issues of Sludge that Lopresti wrote. I think I'm going to have to check this out.
Free your soul and let it fly....
It's pretty common knowledge now that Swamp Thing will be returning to the DCU, so I'm surprised to hear Lopresti wasn't allowed to use him. Wonder if the right hand at DC knows what the left hand is doing...?
We've never had confirmation Swampy is returning to the DCU. Just rumors.
As for a sidekick... Why, it's quite obvious Garbage Man's sidekick would be the Garbage Pail Kid, of course.![]()
Wonder if there are any plans to bring back Sam Kieth's teen werewolf SCRATCH in the pages of WEIRD WORLDS ?
He'd make an interesting sidekick.
It would be cool to see the protagonist of Scratch resurrected in the pages of Weird Worlds. I'll definitely be giving this a look-see. Reminds of old 70s monster magazines.
Locke & Key, Saga, Thief of Thieves
I'm all on board for this. Monster comics and anthology comics are two favorites that taste better together.
A thought I had:
Could "Garbage Man" be a front? Could it be that Swamp Thing is part of this project and that they are trying to surprise us?
