Whedon is officially the director for the Avengers finally! I know it was known for months but I didn't want to totally believe it until he said it.

Hopefully he tones down his Whedonisms a tremendous amount cause that stuff didnt fly at all in Alien Resurrection. And that movie was pretty bad so for THAT to stand out it showed how disruptive it was.

Save it for his own creations.

Sucks we won't see Cabin in the Woods anytime soon. That sounded like it could be interesting.

1. restrain himself
2. incorporate it better into whatever he's working on

His run on Astonishing X-Men was remarkably well-praised, and he also co-wrote Toy Story. But he's also directing Avengers, not writing it.
