Default The Amazing Adventures of The Brick (May contain Amazing Spider-man #638 Spoilers)

The Brick really does need its own series. That inanimate object has seriously kicked a lot of ass over the years.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

Ok.....i need time to process my exact thoughts and outrage at the dippiness that is Part Two of OMD....until then....

Again, still processing my thoughts about the "brilliance" of this first issue retcon retcon....

Devil bricks and devil pigeons (and is spider-sense REALLY immune to devil bricks?)
"Superior New Day" is temporary: but maybe Juggernaut can be the new She-Hulk! And Skeletor can be Battle Cat. Darth Vader can be Princess Leia in the new Superior Star Wars! Unleash the Whacken!

No, devil bricks are immune to his spider-sense. Otherwise he would have dodged.

The definition of maguffin isn't quite as wide as your using it. Otherwise literally everything in a story would be a maguffin.

In general, the "thing" the characters are chasing, the thing that drives them through a story, is a maguffin. The glowing suitcase in Pulp Fiction is another good example.

But in this case the brick was chasing Spider-Man.

Can the brick get it's own series?

If enough fans demand it, yes. Let your retailer know!

Don't forget the supporting cast of the Devil Pigeon. He is the keymaster. He will open the door.... the car door.

I'm a pretty strong guy, and i couldn't throw one of these up to a water tower, up into the air over my head. I am not sure i could take out a bird with one 4 feet over my head.

It just "might" peak at a couple feet over my head, "IF" i got a good lob, BUT the force behind it would be inert and heading back down at me about as quickly as it left my hands.

how this guy threw one 15 or 20some feet into the air, with enough force to knock our a super-hero, standing up on a water tower, (which are built up HIGH for gravity help for pressure) with spidey who has taken punches from some of the strongest is beyond me.

Video at 11....I'll lob some cinder blocks over my head up behind the barn!! LOL (will more likely end up on funniest home videos as i knock myself out)

I could toss one five-to-eight feet consistently while I was in shape. Slight arc, but not to the height shown in that comic.

But, as I said, inside of Spider-Man's world, this wasn't something so unusual that it pulled me out of the story.

Farmer, do you read other comics? And, seriously, are you pulled out of the story every time (for example) Batman (no super powers) goes toe-to-toe with Killer Croc or is able to swing on a rope while carrying a 240-lb unconcious thug on his shoulder? Or the fact that Wolvie's claws, adamantium or no, should not be able to slice through steel doors since his body should not have the muscle to do that (Hulk-level strength)?

I mean, really, if this stuff is going to ruin the stories for you, I don't see how you enjoy comic books at all. To me, it has to be a far more egregious plot point and, usually, a poorly written bit of character behavior to disturb me that much.

Who's Spider-Man's greatest enemy? Is it the Green Goblin? Doc ock? Hobgoblin? Venom?
