Well aware of that Pete. Still I think the events with Asami would have been better spent over the course of two or three episodes.

They're teenagers and they gone on a couple dates so far over a few days. What is so unrealistic about that?
Anyways as for todays episode, while I agree it was not the strongest, it was still a great episode overall. And darn it, Tenzin and his family provide such great humor.
Can't wait for the next episode, seems it will focus on the pro-bending tournament and introduce Tahno.
Who said anything about realism? I just thought it could have been paced better for the sake of the story. Realism has nothing to do with it.
I thought the Airbenders were a little meh today. Tenzin was solid but Meelo and Ikki not so much. Jinora should get more lines.
Oh, okay. But I think part of the reason why they did not draw Asami and Mako relationship establishment was because they needed Hiroshi Sato to be introduced to the Mako and sponsor the Fire Ferrets, so the "will they be able to compete in the tournament" plot-point would not be drawn out.
I don't mind the pacing. But that's just me.
I thought Ikki bothering Tarrlok was funny. Is it just me or did Tarrlok smelling like a girl imply that he had slept with a woman before coming to the Air Temple?
Well that's the thing I do think the sponsorship thing would have been better to have happen in the episode after this. Things moving kind of quickly with Asami and Mako was not much of a bother but I think introducing Hiroshi and him sponsoring the Fire Ferrets in the next episode would have been better. That's just me of course.
Well I saw it just meaning that he wore perfume and went to great lengths for the sake of keeping a specific appearance. But Your idea could work too.
Blech. Judging from the preview looks like the next episode could be pure pro bending plot heavy. I knew it was coming but I'm still not happy. Pro bending is so boring. We've had a lot of the A plot, so I guess it's only fair we're back to the boring B plot.![]()
New Out there theory: Amon is the Pro-Bending and Recap Announcer Shiro Shinobi.
What if Amon is who he says he is, that would be a pretty neat twist.
Because he is a master Airbender, and they get ceremonial blue arrow tattoos across chi lines, on each arm and leg, and one going up the spine and over the top of the head. The tattoos are just like those of his father Aang, the previous Avatar, and most adult Air Nomads from the previous series.
