And those little hats they have on with the 4 little sheets on metal isnt going to help those metal benders any.

You are STILL going to have to train for months as a martial artist if you want to catch a bender with a glove.
I dont know where you people are getting the idea that anyone can put on a glove you can simply walk toward a bender and take them out. You have to learn how to use all that equipment effectively before you even have a chance at taking them out. Outside of a surprise attack you cant simply give this equipment to a normal person and hope for success. Unless these normal people are sent to attack sucky benders, i guess.

I know what the show is trying to say but its not really showing it in a successful way.
Not all benders are master fighters like the main cast is. The analogy of the electric gloves to he hand-gun still works though, while no one would instantly be able to kick ass with the gloves the same can be said with someone who buys a handgun. But learning how to use a handgun & an electric glove both take an immensively shorter amount of time than it would take to learn how to be a chi-blocker/swordmaster. The previous of the samurai warrior is good analogy, a peasant would stand a much greater chance of besting a trained samurai with a handgun than without.

Provided you supply enough force for your hit to knock out the metal bender and that you hit them in the right place. Lin was touched in the back, as was Tenzin. Hitting there with a stick would not have taken either out of the fight. It takes a lot more effort to strike someone than it takes to touch someone. Also, you're forgetting that it's a lot easier to sneak in gloves to an event that the metal benders would have never allowed sticks large enough be weapons at.

That's exactly what the show demonstrated. These were not elite soldiers that took down Lin Beifong's metal benders. These were ordinary people who took down Republic City's best benders with a single touch. You're also forgetting that the benders have a serious numbers disadvantage here. Sure a bender can take out a single person with a glove running towards him before they reach him. Ten people running towards him though is an entirely different scenario. It doesn't take a precision hit at all, just a single touch, and the bender is out of the fight. No training needed, just touch the person and he's down. It's so easy, I could do it.

One more thing, metal is a great conductor of electricity. Beifong's troops are going to have to learn not to rely on their metal strands, because any one of them is a conduit back to taking them out.

The episode description (from TV Guide webistes) of "The Aftermath" seems to point suspicion towards both of the Satos: "Korra begins to suspect that an ally is working for the Equalists."
The only ones that really fit that description (that would make narrative sense) are Hiroshi and Asami Sato. Tarrlok is suspicious to be sure but for different reasons, he is scummy for being politically self-motivated and his goals would not line up with the Equalsits, and he would not really be considered an ally or friend (some descriptors use friend instead of ally) towards Korra.

Ohh, I didn't think we'd be getting a new episode this week, despite the clip. This is good news.

We will get one this week, but we won't get one on Memorial Day weekend.

New clip of episode 7, seems Mako and Bolin have moved in with the Satos.

Also the original clip source link contains a small interview with Bolin's voice actor, P.J. Byrne, about the character and show.

I wanna see the ref get his. I mean, it's one thing to make questionable calls when paid off, but this guy was letting cheating so blatant that the announcer was calling bullshit go.

But seriously, Tahno got what he had coming to him. Guy and his team were potentially crippling their opponents for a game. Hell, they might have actually crippled a few of those victims. So, I'm not really sympathizing with the guy.

KorraNation has shared a funny little screen-cap with dialogue of the next-epside, from the looks of it Korra can't stay long in the Sato mansion because she does indeed have babysitting responsibilities.

Episode started slow but got cool as the episode progressed. And finally, Tenzin showed what a bad ass he is. His moves were pimp. As well as Lin too. When she busted out those metal knives and started stabbing the mechs, I was all like "Holy SHIT!" Awesome. And the build up to Korra putting on that blush was hilarious.

What I really like is how mature the relationships between characters was portrayed in this episode. I feel like now that this is a legitimate triangle or rectangle or whatever because no one is a "villain." Seeing Korra as the bigger person was great as well. I'm also happy everyone is gonna be on Air Temple Island now. That should be fun.

I was also kind of greedy. When Korra got knocked out I was hoping we'd get another flashback.

And the poor Cabbage Corp. Can't ever catch a break. The only thing that would've made it better is if the metal benders crushed some cabbages accidentally in some of the boxes they were opening.

"Not my Cabbage....corp." Damn Cabbage guy great grandkids can't catch a break.

These last two episodes have made me really love Lin, she right up there in badass land with her mama. Which is going to hurt if they make her lose her bending or kill her off.

Pretty solid episode. Kind of eh on Hiroshi being an Equalist (was a little too expected) but pretty dang cool. Asami's becoming more of a likeable character which is good.

When has Asami never been likeable?

Sato being an equalist is of no surprise. He's the most influential non-bender in the city and Amon needed to get his Starktech somewhere. Also awesome seeing Lin use Toph's techniques. Lin going vigilante at the end = RIP criminal element of Republic City.

I want a clear shot of Asami in her swimsuit.

She's just come off as pretty flat to me since she was introduced.

Me too. But now that she doesn't appear evil, she's gotten a whole lot more interesting to me.
