New clip of episode 6, leaked or copied from an official release, I don't know.
Amon sure is good at hijacking the radio-waves.

And i dont think the hold was illegal it was the throwing of the person up repeatedly.
And then she compounded it by soaking the referee, which has GOT to be a total no-no.

Why? We've seen Mako hurt multiple people on an opposing team by his lonesome in the second episode. It's a rough sport of dodging high velocity elements. It shouldn't be surprising that a) people get hurt and b) the reigning champs hit hard.

Another clip, only it is basically a extended version of the previously leaked one and this time it is coming from Nickelodeon's KorraNation tumblr.
Funny to see what the Fire Ferrets use to motivate themselves in training.

This still points to him being amon. Tarlok is one of the only citizens who could radio jack as much as he(Amon) does. And Korra already spoke about how Tarlok did not like her participating in the fire bending tournament because it was taking her time away from his taskforce. No surprise he is all for shutting down the tournament, via the council, after "he" got on the radio as Amon and threatened everyone who will attend.

It is kinda impossible for Tarrlok to be Amon, Tarrlok was likely in the council chambers when Amon was on the radio and was with a task force in episode 4 when Amon attacked Korra. And producers/creators rarely get two different voice actors for the same character, even for identity secrecy.
And Amon and Tarrlok have different eye and skin colors/tones (based on what skin Amon has exposed).

I'd much prefer if Amon was exactly who he said he was, really - a Muggle who found himself at the mercy of benders. If he's fake, then the ethical dilemma largely resolves itself and that's a bit of a cop-out.

Yeah, if Amon's motivations do turn out to be a charade it would end up pushing the actual grievances of non-benders to the side. And the non-benders as we have seen do have actual legitimate complaints they are often exploited and victims of the bending Triads and have no representation on the council. One element that could be used to resolve the revolution would be the elimination of one of Water Tribe's seats on the council (specifically Tarrlok's) and have it replaced with a native Republic City citizen (specifically a non-bender) so Republic City and non-benders could have representation on the council.

No it doesn't, because it's not an ethical dilemma, it's a political one. The non-benders have rallied to him despite their collective ignorance that he has revealed that he actually is a bender. The benders are losing the propaganda war because they're letting Amon dictate the terms of the debate. If they'd start informing people that Amon is an energy bender, it would be far more effective a tactic. They're not doing that though, allowing Tarlok, whom is exploiting the situation to grab more power for himself, to fight Amon as if he were just a minor threat that will eventually be put down.

None of this changes that Amon has growing public support from average non-bender citizens. They're starting to get roused now, and history shows that when the ordinary citizens start getting roused, the ruling classes start getting nervous and start paying a little more attention to them. Well, that or flat out declare martial law (which would only prove Amon's point about benders being dictators). Either way, this issue is not going away now, even when Amon is eventually exposed as the fraud he already is.

I like that the writers are creating a show this nuanced for kids. It might start teaching them to think about and question everything they see and hear on TV.

Well we don't know for sure if Amon is a Energybender, the way he removes bending is different from how Aang did. But that does not invalidates the fact that non-benders do have valid grievences even without the riling up from Amon. Also it may be true that Amon was granted his powers by the spirits and it is different from traditional Energybending. Also the public may just consider Energybendng different enough from regular bending that they don't consider Amon to be a bender.

The Pro-Bending Arena section of the Welcome to Republic City game is finally unlocked, revealing that Mako and Bolin are 18 and 16 years old. Although it is contradictory to the show by saying that Mako and Bolin lost their parents when Mako was 7 instead of 8.

Finally, after two mediocre episodes, we're back to good form. I actually even enjoyed the pro bending parts, which I normally hate with a passion. But here it was kinda cool to watch. I still don't see how the other team would have won the championship when EVERYONE knew they were doing illegal moves multiple times. That just would never fly after so many blatant, repeated offenses.

Interesting revelation about Tenzin and Lin. I'm glad Lin finally got that stick out of her ass because her rudeness was approaching Toph levels. I feel like I can finally start liking her now. I was hoping she would be a little more badass in this episode, but she kinda disappointed in the fighting aspect. But her and Korra's tag team was boss. I'm really starting to wonder if Tarlokk is Amon now as well. And more Gaang flashbacks. These teases are killing me. Looks like we might be on a hiatus now as well. Let's hope it's not months long.

Oh rest assured he is. Where was Tarlokk while this whole showdown in the arena was happening? Dressed as Amon of course.

Great episode. I hope that Korra decides to investigate the flashbacks she has been seeing and we can get some answers on this Yakone guy.

You didn't like Toph in the original series?

I still don't see the evidence for the "Tarrlok is Amon" theory, if Tarrlok was Amon he never would have never originally advocated the closing of the Pro-Bending Arena since Amon wanted it to stay open so he could send his message out. And again most writers/producers/creators do not assign different voices for the same character, even for characters in disguise.

Anyways, I loved this episode, great action and tension all around. I was actually surprised the Fire Ferrets ended up not winning. I loved the Lin and Korra tag team as well, the bender-Equalist fights were awesome. The flashbacks are getting more and more mysterious too. I wonder if Yakone is the mystery man in the flash-back and if he is connected to Amon in some way? Great funny moments from Tenzin and Bolin & Pabu as well.
