I'm thinking of flipping some stuff on eBay to help defray my costs (airline tickets & hotel rooms aren't cheap!). Since I'm flying I'll have to stay away from items that are too cumbersome.

The Skrull-Spider-Woman bust & giant size Dr. Manhattan look great but may be too big. A lot of the action figures look pretty sweet, too.

Any opinions on what will be in the greatest demand?

There are only 500 copies of the Hero Initiative variant for this year's Overstreet Price Guide. Just $35. And no, not just because I'm working the booth. Only two per customer.

After spending a few hours comparing SDCC sale prices to what buyers are asking for them on eBay, my Comic-Con plans took a big dump.

Alphabetically, I made my way down the list from 258 through Mattel, and here's what I can offer to anybody that can make use of it:

Biggest return on your investment items look to be the Pan's Labyrinth mini-busts ( Pale Man & Faun ); you should be able to make over $100 on either of these, and may even triple your $70 investment.

Looking at the Gentle Giant offerings, if you buy one each of the 5 items they have listed, you should average over $89 an item. I assume the number of any single item that you can buy is limited but, as with most items on the exclusives list, none is listed. Listing the items ASAP would be key. (Before anybody asks, no, I don't work for Gentle Giant).

You can also do pretty well for yourself at the Hallmark & Graphitti Designs booths.

Here's a quick way to make $325 or more: go to the 258 booth. They're offering 5 different autographed cards from $10-35 dollars. You can buy a maximum of 5 of each card. Do that and sell the cards singly, marked up by $13 each.

Now if I was buying to keep, I'd go in a totally different direction. The coolest items to me (keeping in mind that I really didn't get past distributors starting with the letter "P") are Entertainment Earth's Dexter & Twilight Zone bobbleheads & Venture Bros. & Twilight Zone action figures, Monograms' Marvel Gold Paperweights & Neca's Collosal Dr. Manhattan figure. I might actually seek those last 2 on eBay or in Baltimore next month.
