Man, I'm so excited for this book! Every X-23 mini has been gold since her first appearance in Uncanny 450. Marjorie Liu did a masterful job on her one-shot a while back. I have high hopes for this one and I look forward to seeing what Laura does on her own. As much as I love her as part of the X-men, I think Wolverine was right to send her on her way. She was falling back into old habits with X-Force and she needs to find herself before she continues with the X-men. The only drag is we'll have to wait until September 15th to see this. Oh well, awesome comics are always worth waiting for.

Anyone know what the breakdown on cover ratios is like? The one with the striped shirt seems to clearly be saying "buy me", but all I'm getting from the standard pose on a white background is "ignore me".

Also, I'm rather bummed that it looks like her first arc is going to involve being dragged into that evil
devil-Wolverine-whatever crossover. That makes me want to read it even less.

The one shot had a pseudo-dreamlike sequence where Gamesmaster showed a pretty intense fascination with Laura.

I think that's could be the link to what we're seeing here.

so wolverines a vampire now? lawd, one thing i've never liked is mutants being vampires. the whole vampire thing only works in the marvel universe in my opinion is if mutants and vampires are regarded as different species. they should not be allowed to geneticly mingle.
