I wonder if people realize that for over a decade this has consistently been the best super hero series being published?

Closing in on two decades, even. I can't say it's always been "the best" during its run, but I do have to say that it's in my top 3-5 ongoing series that have run during that time, easy. Can't wait to read today's issue!

I didn't mean to say that every issue is the best, but rather in aggregate, over the long run it has been the best.

That’s a pretty interesting interview with Busiek there. I picked this issue up but I've yet to read it. I was a little perturbed to hear that this was essentially a post-script or epilogue to The Dark Age. Good as The Dark Age was, I've really had enough of it now and was really looking forward to reading some new stories that aren't connected to The Dark Age at all.

^ Not trying to spoil anything for you, but aside from a few mentions and flashbacks, it's pretty much the Agents story over time in part one...
It was a pretty solid read for me, but seemed to breeze by too fast. And for two-parter to me it's one of the better opening stories that is pretty self-contained as well..

OK...good to know Astrozac. I'll post my thoughts on the issue once I've had a chance to read it.

OK, so I got around to reading this last night. Despite my misgivings about yet more Dark Age stuff, I must say that actually, this issue was pretty enjoyable and sort of stood apart from The Dark Age, while at the same time being an epilogue...if that makes any sense. The story was pretty interesting, particularly the information about the Silver Agent's background.

My only real criticism would be that I found some of the artwork in this issue somewhat hard to follow...especially during the scenes where the Silver Agent and the Silver Centurions were shutting down the iGod. I couldn't decide whether this was a shortcoming on Brent Anderson's part or whether it was down to Alex Sinclair's colouring making Brent's line work a little hard to follow. Regardless of that, this was a another solid issue of Astro City and I’m looking forward to part two.

^Maybe Brent's new digital drawing? The scenes in the past with the dots were more annoying for me..
