Ed Norton is the freakin' man! What a classy fellow!
That being said, I'll be fine with either Adrian Brody or Joaquin Phoenix in the role of Banner, but I highly doubt they'll be better than Norton.

It all depends on what type of role the Hulk plays in the movie. If the Avengers are chasing the Hulk in the film then they need some one to play Banner. But if that isn't the case then why do the need Banner in the movie. Just have Fury say its time to unleash their secret weapon and then next thing you know you see green eyes and then the Hulk.

He's getting up there. I think he's over fifty right now. Not saying Banner is a young guy but I figure mid thirties - early forties range would be better. He is looking pretty old in the commercials for Boardwalk Empire.

I don't think they are limiting his role. And I think they want to use his appearance to launch a new Hulk movie and distance it from the Norton movie. Just my feeling. Marvel likes to fill their supporting actor roles with some name actors or at least people who starting to get some attention. Originally Posted by Legato

I know they announced they wanted a name actor to play the part and I don't want to come off seeming like Joss Whedon can only work with those he has in the past or favor them at least but Sean Maher would make an awesome Bruce Banner.
