Are you a Leafs fan?
Just wondering because you seem to be in Toronto.

Dear Gryphon;
Do you think that Churchill really dropped the ball pushing for the return of King George II of Greece given his dubious standing in the country, or would it have had no substantial effect on the factional fighting in the country? And was this matter indicative British Prime Minister's overall inability to properly read the post-war world's political climate? (Excepting of course Communist takeovers in East Europe.)
Sincerely;
Adam C.

having read up on it now i would say that it wasnt so much that he dropped the ball by pushing for George II's return but it certainly ddint help. if it wasnt his return that set off fighting in greece it would have been something else, as the country was a powderkeg at the time.
as to the second part of the question, well i think Churchill's primary goal was to keep the communists at bay and didnt take much into consideration like most western leaders at the time

Thank you for your response.
Though from what I've dug up so far Churchill was more savvy about what communist take-over meant in Eastern Europe than the U.S. leadership of the time who ignored Poland and denounced Britain's involvement as going against Greek self determination...at least until they actually got involved in the country.
Also do you think that superheroes' various attempts to toss Doom out of Latveria only to have him return and assume power in a matter months represent a total lack of foresight on their part? I mean if he can assume power again, so easily, even after Reed Richards' strips away all of his technology what does this say about the measures to safeguard the country from further tyrannical intervention and that accursed Richards' meddling?

doom plans ahead for everything
he has failsafe plans even though he believes his plans will work but he isnt an idiot and always has a backup
and most superheroes dont think that far in advance. they just fight then move on
although byrne handled doom's return to power very nicely
Have u sen Casino Royale, and would you recommend this Bond film?
