Well, I was sad to see him leave Marvel, and I'll be picking up his Lex Luthor book tomorrow, and I'm glad to see he isn't burning any bridges! I'm sure he'll do splendidly whatever property he picks up... though I do secretly await the day he returns to MI-13.

I'm not secretly waiting for the day he returns to MI-13 I'd love for that to happen as soon as possible.

That said after reading this interview and seeing some of those preview pages I think I can safely say that this will be the first time I buy a new Superman comic. I thought the idea of a Luthor centered sory sounded like something I'd like to read (Marc Guggenheim was originally going to write an arc like this wasn't he?); but this interview and the preview pages confirmed it.

I hope that one day Mr Cornell might return to Marvel but in the meantime excellent move by DC in signing him up as an exclusive writer; I'll be looking forward to seeing whatever projects he has coming up.

Really looking forward to this run. Any excuse for me to read about some of my favourite DCU villains teaming up and fighting each other is a good one.

Hackman's Luthor definitely is underrated. He was funny, but he was also ruthless and greedy.

    Example:

Superman: "Is that how a warped brain like yours gets its kicks? By planning the deaths of innocent people?"

Luthor: "No. By causing the deaths of innocent people."

Actually, I've always thought the Prankster should be more like Hackman's Luthor. It would make him less like a poor man's Joker.
