Good lord, I'm really looking forward to this. The cover for Invaders # 1 looks bloody amazing. Alex Ross makes everything look good, Captain Rogers uniform is a looker.

Looking forward to the Invaders as well, although I've been on the fence about the Phantom. Those two preview pages don't really do it for me though -- there's nothing wrong with the art, but that dripping juice effect just looks a bit silly. I may give it a look since Beatty's writing it, and I really enjoyed his work on Buck Rogers.

I wish Ross did more interior stuff for Marvel.

Anyways, Invader/Avengers sort of turned me off a bit so I'm not sure how excited I should be for this.

I did like the Invaders back in the day though. They were a lot f fun, so I'm hopeful I can jump on this.

Wow, now that's a Steve Rogers! If that guy came to me and asked me to join the Avengers I would say yes no question.

Every time I think I'm over Alex Ross, he does something like that Invaders cover and pulls me right back in.

Hahaha, yeah if the Alex Ross version of Steve Rogers asked WonderMan to join the Avengers, he'd be like "Yeah! That's a great idea!"

Beautiful cover and nice interiors. I'd MUCH rather see Bucky lead up a team of new Invaders (with the possibility of Namor and old school Vision?) than sit on the left of Bendis' Avengers line-up. The only problem here is that the last mini series wasn't very good...

I'm hoping Gage will do a better job with the script. He's generally solid.

Alas, Namor is on the X-men...

Yeah, but Namor takes up two spots on that one cover so I'm gonna hope till I can't.

I also think Gage should be able to help out with the plot/writing.

I like Gage but every series Ross is involved in besides Kingdom Come I've loathed. I'll definitely be passing on this.
My Heroes For Hire: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, The Falcon, Ant-Man (Scott Lang). White Tiger IV and Powerman would be interns.

Beatty's Buck Rogers was awesome but I hated that the series ended with a cliffhanger! And I'm probably going to pass on the Phantom due to my budget & like you I'm not thrilled with the new concepts. I'm definitely getting Invaders. I still wish DC & Marvel would do a crossover with the JSA & Invaders. I know some fans don't like the inter company crossovers but I love stuff like JLA/Avengers. Throw in some of the Dynamite Superpowers characters & that would be a historic crossover!
