I think this looks like a lot of fun, especially if it makes the jump to animated series. It's something my son would love for sure. I'm all behind it. :)

Not really. It certainly has an element of that. However, it also has a little bit of the Animorphs book series to it as well as traditional animal-based superheroes like Vixen, Animal Man and Beast Boy.
