Well there goes any chance of him coming back to Marvel for Captian Britian.![]()
I'm really looking forward to Cornell's run on Action Comics. And just to think, on the eve of Superman #700, we await the arrival of Action Comics #900. Interesting times for Superman/Action.
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.
There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.
Seemed like a forgone conclusion to me.
Sounds good to me--this arc in Action Comics is looking hella awesome.![]()
Huge loss for Marvel. They could've given Cornell the X-Men to write. I guess I'll be picking up BOTH Action and Superman now.
Lex Luthor going against his fellow villains and AC#900. I'm looking forward to it.

As happy as I am to see Cornell at DC exclusively (and as intriguing as his Lex Luthor storyline promises to be), I am beyond annoyed that Superman is still not starring (or hell, even appearing) in his flagship title.![]()
Between Finch, Caselli, McNiven, Cornell, and Strazcynski; DC is really grabbing some top level talent
This sounds greater than great. Paul Cornell's a great writer, Pete Woods is a fantastic artist, and Lex Luthor is awesome squared. Very much looking forward to this story.
I like the idea of DC trying to develop the non-Superman concepts. We had Kal-El on New Krypton and now Luthor as a feature and the line-up of adversaries is great.
Even though DC denies that this is motivated by the possible loss of Superman, I don't believe them.
I think DC made a good catch on Cornell. The guy is nominated for a couple of awards and he had little chance to shine at Marvel where they already have so many top writers on their main titles (Millar, Bendis, Brubaker, Loeb). With Rucka gone, it's only Morrison and Johns with Robinson.
Caselli & McNiven are now DC exclusive? When did I miss that? I would love to see Caselli on Teen Titans!
As for Paul going exclusive, I really expected it (sure I wasn't alone there either) but I really am sad about what he wont be doing at Marvel. Really liked his take on Young Avengers and thought he could have really done awesome stuff if given that title. I had really hoped to see that he would be given Uncanny X-Men. Not to mention that Capt Britain might be revived. Oh well...
The idea that he has the entire DCU to play with is an incredible idea. Now...just where else to put him...
