they should just give up on Image United.
I'd love to see AL Simmons come back.
I think it's a project worth completing -- and remember Todd M. is personally taking the heat for this delay, so maybe Kirkman and the rest of the Image stable shouldn't be taking too much sh*t for this...
'Course, I was fourteen when the 90's image wave hit and, despite growing to despise the whole movement (old Image, not new), I still get a tiny sniff of Image United and find myself needing to snort the whole line. So to speak.
Note: OK, I only despise most of it -- I still have a warm spot for the first twenty-odd issues of Spawn, the first 100 issues of Dragon, any of Jae Lee's stuff, a little of Jim Lee's and...well, that's about it.
...and does anyone remember 'Deathmate'?
Ah, this reminds me of the bad old days. It's been almost 20 years since they started Image (even more looking at their entire professional careers) and they still haven't figured out how not to be horribly, horribly late on a major event. It's almost funny. Almost.

If TM knew his involvement would be problematic why even start the project at all? If they wait too much longer people won't even care if it's finished or not.
Ah, just like the old days.

The delay would have bothered me if either issue out so far was enjoyable reading material. I chose after #2 to forget the rest of the series and ironically the image guys made the same choice.![]()
I love that McFarlane's like, "I take all the blame, but really it's everybody else's fault because I warned them that I was busy!" Shut the hell up and take the blame. I hate cop-out, non-apology apologies.
Also, Image United is Zero Hero Redux. FYI.
I was really looking forward to this series when it was announced. When I read the first 2 issues I began to lose interest and then when #3 was no where to be found I just wrote this off as another Image series I would never finish reading. It wasn't that good anyway.
It is a book involving the original Image founders, so being ridiculously late, so late that fans actually forget about the series, is actually considered on schedule for most of them. It's like Deathmate all over again.![]()

Justice prevails... evil justice!
I'll fully support the mini, purchasing any and all variants. Yes, I'm not helping by supporting Todd when he's been shit keeping to schedule as it just encourages that sort of behaviour. However, I'm not as fussed about that as I'd like to support all of the other guys that have got their act together. I'm perfectly willing to give money to Todd as more important than that, I'm giving money to the other guys, Erik Larsen in particular.
Anything to support Savage Dragon, really, whether it's directly or indirectly. Plus, you know, it'll still be a fun story with a ton of characters running around beating the crap out of people. And that's basically all I was looking for in this mini-series.
