That's incredibly underwhelming as teasers go.

They're using this to push new talent as much as new ideas, so of course they are trying to make it successful.

It's usually a bad idea to start new names on big events like this.

I love Mike Mayhew art, but I'm still thinking meh.

I loved mike mayhews work on the jean grey origins comic.

I have to say the actual teaser doesn't look really interesting but i would enjoy seeing a vampire emma tormenting scott and terrorizing her team mates.

Plot of the event aside, this is my big red flag.

Mayhew! Looks good! However, I know that Emma's not turning vampire to feast on Scott good job though. (Besides she didn't do anything in SC so far. So why make us assume this?) I'll pick it up only to see where Victor is taking this team.

I don't get this teaser either, but it feels like another knock-off of True Blood and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. But Emma turning vampire to suck the blood of Scott? Hasn't she already done that to some extent? I don't buy it. It really does depend on how Second Coming ends. Emma really hasn't done much of anything other than provide Scott with arm candy. All the heavy psychic lifting has been done by the Cuckoos and now that Xavier is back in the fold, what good is she besides eye-candy? Emma's a lot better than that and frankly, she needs an overhaul. Morrison and Whedon did a great job giving her a good great character, but since then she's been nothing more than Cyclops's girlfriend. I think the time has come to cut the chord. The Scott/Emma affair has simply run out of steam under Matt Fraction. I don't know where this vampire title will fit into the greater continuity, but I hope it results with Emma coming back into her own.

    Absolutely.

I still know relatively little about the writer, but I get the feeling that Marvel thought he would bring a bigger fanbase and far more fuss than has actually occurred.

And so they're throwing teasers desperately hoping they can create some hype.

    It's not really working though...

I give it 12 issues before cancellation.

    18 at the absolute MAX.

And at least 2 issues will be in a crossover.
