ELEKTRA*LADY MASTERMIND*DAREDEVIL*ARIEL
glad to see this back
Looks from the photo like he's lost weight. Good for him.
Hey, he did answer my question about the FF artist switch anyway.
"...Doom's enemies have not the mettle to challenge him host to host, tooth to nail... As economic and military options fail them, they resort to simple rudeness."
Mark Millar writing something X-related!! Awesome!!
Kiel Phegley: We've spoken in the past on sales issues where you're able, and I know the big question floating over the Iron Man annual has been how much the full story will cost online versus its print version. Can you confirm how much the book will cost in each format?
Joe Quesada: The Iron Man comic is over 60 pages, and in print it's priced at $4.99, but on average for that kind of page count, we would have priced it at $5.99 or broken it up into three $2.99 issues. Our comics on the Marvel App are priced at $1.99 and the way the annual is written it breaks up nicely into three chapters perfectly, so that's how we'll break It up in the app. So, when you do the math on this one, the direct market comic shop has the advantage in price on this one, and we've already received word from retailers that they feel this is the best way to set this test up.
Does Q knows that the reason that the music industry failed is because they charged a lot of cash for little product and the reason why Itunes and services like that were successful was cause they were cheap?
By the way, who drew that pic of Q?
It looks so unrealistic.
The news about the pricing for the digital comic is very dissapointing. I was hoping to pick this up, especially since annuals make their way over the water to me, but at this price point I won't be bothering at all.
"I'll even find time to piss off DC" ya know Joe its stupid unprofessional comments like these that really make me question your intelligence. Why cant you man up and try to play nice with the competition? The comic book business isnt one where there should only be one all powerful company running everything and cooperation with DC can only be good for the slowly dying medium. take for example johns and fraction recent tweeting about an iron man/gl xover. now theres a couple guys that want whats best for the business. why dont take u take a cue?
I could have swore I just read that some idiot executive from Marvel just told CBR that Marvel's "first concern" and "primary goal" were taking care of the direct market, and not comic book readers...that would be so insanely stupid to say publicly...it would be as stupid as the CEO of BP crying about wanting his life back...no one could possibly be so stupid as to insult their customers like that...am I right?
Good bye Marvel.

Translation: In order to better serve the comic stores, Marvel has decided to tank its "day and date" release by overpricing it so they can then call "day and date" releases a failure. So, when you do the math on this one, the direct market comic shop has the advantage in price on this one, and we've already received word from retailers that they feel this is the best way to set this test up.
That said. Australians are so screwed over by prices in comic stores, that its still cheaper for them to buy the book digitally. That said, I won't be buying this on the day of release. I was in order to help support digital books. But for this price I'll wait until I actually want to buy it, if I ever do.
That Billy Ray Cyrus cover brings up baaaad Marvel Music memories
But hey, wait... now that Disney owns Marvel, they can do a sequel with Miley Cyrus. Maybe a team up with Deadpool.
