Marvel Comics has released an advance preview of "Avengers" #2 by the creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and John Romita Jr. The issue hits stores everywhere on Wednesday, June 23.

So this all but confirms that Noh-Varr is the other member Kang was indicating. Not a surprise, but I want to see how this all plays.

Anyone find it strange that Stark THINKS about making doomsday machines? He is a mad scientist at this point.

This also puts to rest the debate about The Protector being on NA. And, maybe Victoria Hand is just the DA member that is joining their ranks. Also, why is Wovlerine and Spider-Man doing over there???

Might as well get used to it. Nothing has been retconned anyway. The character was in limbo, and Bendis stepped up to the plate and did something with him.

I would like it a lot more if Noh-Varr were wearing the classic Captain Mar-Vell outfit. Or just replace him with Quasar (I'd be ecstatic, lol)

Anyway, I really want to know what's going on, because this could either turn out pretty interesting... or just plain boring, oddly paced, and disappointing like the last issue.

John Romita JR is the first artist to make the Protector suit look cool. Bachalo drew it bad. Marko Djurdjevic drew it well on Avengers #1's variant cover, but he drew the eyes as giant white bug-like eyes which looked like a joke. JRJR makes the suit part Iron Man, part Batman, and part Millar's Nemesis. Stark looked like he was jealous of Noh-Varr's high-tech suit.

Not getting into this here but he has retcon a lot of stuff away.
Bendis wasnt the first writer that used him in 616 which makes his work with MB more problematic as the first dude to use him DID continue the story from MB Mini in his first 616 book.

I agree. I never hated the suit, but i never loved it. Now its +10 in my book
