Has anyone elses respect for Steve Rogers risen exponentially since he's renounced being Captain America? And those red stips need to go. They look terrible on an otherwise cool uniform.

Sweet lordy lord, just those two pages are enough to convince me that this shall be excellent. Eaglesham is a great fit for drawing Steve.
Also, good to see Steve putting his "gun" to good use. Heh.
I wonder if we are going to see some SA in this series....![]()
Top 10: Hawkguy, GIJoe Cobra, The Massive, Daredevil, Wonder Woman, Fury MAX, The Black Beetle, Batman, Winter Soldier, Suicide Squad, and The Activity.

[Level 1 antagonism]
Homer: Ned Flanders, I mock your value system. You also appear foolish to the eyes of others.
Ned: Well howdy, Homer! Thanks for dropping by!
[Level 2 antagonism]
Homer: Past instances in which I professed to like you, were fraudulent.
Ned: Oh well. I'll just have to try harder. Thanks for dropping by!
[Maximum hostility factor]
Homer: I engaged in intercourse with your spouse or significant other. Now that's psychiatry!
I hope not, or at least not too much of them, honestly. Brubaker has said that this mini came up as a chance to give Steve a new solo adventure seeing as he hasn't had one since before the "21st Century Blitz" arc in Captain America. Also that the book that became Secret Avengers was originally going to be a Steve and Sharon centric series.
And seeing how he's going to be interacting with nearly every other hero in the MU, I'd much rather let him have a story to himself.
i like the art. Steve looks cool for once.
I'm not a big Cap fan but I'm getting this for the artwork alone...it looks awesome
Reduced To Ashes
He's not Cap anymore, though. And even in the brief preview there we can see how salient those bright red lengths of red are along his legs in comparison to the appropriately more subdued colors of the rest of his suit. Those stripes just ruin a cool design. Whatever. They're not TOO bad. Still pretty marring, though.
This looks great! I love the art, I knew Dale Eaglesham would be a great fit for this.
I love the design, red stripes, and all. Can't wait to see more!
