Rip off seems like a pretty strong word, buzz... they're both cats with multiple lives, but the similarities end there. We agree that it looks like a good book though! The concept sounds fun and the artwork looks great! I'll pick this one up for my kids.

Hey Buzz...no it's not a ripoff. I'd never heard of Fraidy before you mentioned it. I'd actually be more surprised if I never discovered another concept that played with the idea that cats have nine lives.
No, Scratch9 grew out of my affection and fascination with my own cats and musing on the notion of the nine.
