I must say I will be surprise to see where Slott puts Rachel in the new status quo For Julia.

I wouldn't mind if she stayed as Madame Web, I like the character for her personality and background moreso than for her actual super-heroing. I would like to see her "work things out" with Ms. Marvel some more though, heh :)

If Remender really isn't going to use him, War Machine would be perfect for this team, and (if he really comes back) Scott Lang could be the tech guy. No Super-hero ID, just tech support. He and Mock would make a pretty good brain trust. A cool and powerful team of former WCA and FW members. I'd leave US Agent out until he decides to suit up again, and, despite his connection to Julia, I don't think a super-hero team fits with the Shroud's MO.

Such a great and underrated character. I always enjoyed reading Julia. I thought she was great on Force Works. I don't mind the name change to Archane, but I was stunned to find out as I don't read Spider Man that she is Madame Web now. At least she hasn't been forgotten.

The Madame Web powers aren't all that bad if you think about it. Daredevil's blind and he's done fine all these years. I think Julia could still be her same old awesome self, just with that setback although having psychic powers makes up for that. Old Madame Web wasn't a part of the action because she was old and frail wasn't she? I have high hopes for Julia though.

As much as I hate the Revengers, they are pretty much just Force Works (sausage edition).

Add Julia and another lady (Photon? Lionheart?) and you might have a good Force Works team.

I kinda like Julia as Madame Web. Slott has made it work and the fact that she still has her physical powers is like icing on the cake. I probably wouldn't want her to remain that way forever though, I feel like characters who can predict the future turn into easy plot devices and have to get written out of stories fairly quick. For now though, it's all good.

Sidebar: I've always loved the name Arachne and I totally agree that her old costume needs to come back, even if in just another color. Spider-Girl looks terrible with it.

... Too bad she was never allowed to have a romance with Peter.. but on that note, was she ever given any kind of love interests over the years.. or was she stuck with the sexless single mother role..

As mentioned elsewhere, there was her relationship with the Shroud circa her stint in Ms Marvel. And IIRC she was also involved with Mantis' father Gustav Brandt when he took the guise of Moonraker in Force Works.
    But nothing with any longevity.

I was always rooting for her and US Agent to hook up myself.

Funny how both have sort of had a pretty tough year.

    Me too.

Didn't they also tried to get something going between her and Hawkeye when she joined the WCA? It never got anywhere other than to make Mockingbird jelous, but it was there, wasn't it?

Yeah, there was also this kinda undertone that U.S.Agent was jealous of what they "had". There was that moment when the Agent tried, and completely failed, to make moves on Mockingbird to make Hawkeye jealous.
