OMG1!!!! How is it this has ZERO POSTS??? COME ON!!!! Possibly Mark Gruenwald's shining achievement working for Marvel (or at least a close second to his Cap stuff) and NOBODY APPRECIATES HIM????

I guess I need to up the traffic in this place.

One of my favorite issues and covers of his. My god, Quasar was the shit back in the day. I really wish someone could/would capture the flair that Gru was laying down with this stuff back then.

Have all the issues of the run, and I loved it. Would have been much more successful if the didn't keep loosing their best artists to other titles, such as happened with Paul Ryan and Greg Cappulo. The Maelstorm saga is awsome and should be reprinted in TPB. Wendell was the proof that regular good guys can be as tough and heroic as all the angst ridden vigilantes of the 90's.

I know. I have a real love for Mike Manley's work on the book, too. I think this could have been a real nice companion piece to Silver Surfer, too.

I finally have managed to assemble a complete run of QUASAR--a very fun read. I'm glad he is alive again, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in action again this Wednesday in ANNIHILATORS!

I'm still working on completing my Quasar run, I still want to get that and Starblast, and pretty much anything he's in.

Is there any fans out there of the Subterranean Wars crossover that went through the Avengers books back in the early 90's? (I wanna say 91, but don't quote me) Really great stuff.

Quasar: A hero and an all around NICE GUY. Lately he seems more angsty, but I guess being dead does that.
Loved the story of HER trying to procreate and implanting offspring on a number of Marvel heroes to determine a suitable mate. Wendell won for being the only guy who didnt just try to KILL the implanted spawn outright!

My favorite part of Quasar is when Wendell became Infinities avatar for awhile, it would be nice if they brought back quasar series and not just a mini series. If they make a new quasar series I want them to have Wendell be the star.

I like Quasar since Annihilation but before that . . . . he's the male version of Dazzler. Whoever made the decision to ditch the horrible costume, mullet, and headband was very wise.
