Cage tried teaming up with BP in the BP: Man Without fear book... but T'Challa didn't seem interested until the very very end.

I think he has the framework for the proper build and demeanor to play Luke.

Yes, he has several times, during Priest run, Hudlin's run and Liss. A future timeline, one of T'challa's and Storms sons, marries Cages Daughter.

There are four stages of matter. Solid. Liquid. Gas & Don't. It's science.

I think your choice fits a little but he is gonna have to bulk up a lot.

I really like Luke Cage. He is a good father, a good husband, a good friend, a good boss, a loyal teammate, a brave fighter, a serious, sensible and responsible guy that is too straight too go around dressed with a flashy pajama.

You know, the ironic thing is that Luke Cage, as a person, is closer to what an ideal american should be than Steve Rogers, who has virtually eschewed every aspect of his personality (he was and artist, but, when was the last time he painted something? he is irish [son of irish immigrants] but, how many people know that?) save being the Captain America, and that behaviour (renouncing what makes you different to identify entirely with your state) is more appropiate for his fascist enemies than for a represntative of America.

Steve Rogers should dress green the day of Saint Patrick and shout: "yes, I´m of irish ascent, and I´m showing it because in America everybody is allowed to keep what makes him different! because that is freedom too! freedom to be black, white, christian, jew muslim, buddhist, gay, straight or whatever, without being harassed for it".

I agree to a degree, your a little off about Rogers, but in general Luke Cage is the Perfect Every Man hero.

I'm sure he'll get a win at some point during AvX. Unlucky that Namor chose to target the weakest of the three Avengers, Luke would've done okay against Hepzibah, or poor Sunspot who seemed to be there just for comic relief.

I fear what will happen to Cage when Bendis leaves. He hasn't done anythign at all in AvX so far except get beat up. Then again, power wise, he doesn't stack up to some of the other characters in this event.

I really want him going back to being a street hero type unless called on by Cap. His best appearances in the last year were in Black Panther's book during Kingpin of Wakanda.
