Default Spider-Man's Age compared with his Avengers Teammates

With the whole sliding time-scale in the Marvel Universe is Spider-Man the youngest out of everyone in the team? Everyone else was introduced to be around there 20's to 40's (with the exception of Wolverine and Cap).

I think so, but Peter is also in his 20's, and Jewel would be the same age. (NA at least)
    Bad news everyone...

Biologically probably no more than 30. I believe in one of the cap stories it was explained he was in his early twenties when he went off to war, but was portrayed as much younger to inspire kids in the states. Also I think it was mentioned that he had only aged 5 years since WWII he was placed in cold storage when he didn't have an assignment.

I thought it was mentioned that Bucky was sixteen when he met Cap. There was some reference to him not being the only guy serving in the military to be underage.

I've said it before many times, but I am still ridiculously impressed by how Brubaker managed to make Bucky cool.

The simple fact that people are dreading the return of Steve Rogers into the star sprangled spandex should say something about how well Brubaker wrote Bucky.

It also shows that people are willing to accept legacy characters, if done right. I don't think that it's unique to Captain America and Iron Man - I think Spider-Man could be a fresh take on a legacy, if put in the right hands.

Bucky was 16 when he became Cap's partner, and "almost 21" when he went on the ice. You can estimate how much he's physically aged since then, as Captain America #11 provides an in-depth account of how much time he spent in and out of stasis during the 20th century. The last time I did the math I figured he was something like 29 (physically, that is).

I'm not sure how old Clint, Carol, Bobbi, Luke and Jessica (Drew) are supposed to be, but I figure they fall into that "early to mid-thirties" range most superheroes seem to. How old Peter is in my mind usually changes depending on who's writing him and how he's being written at a moment, but it's usually somewhere between 25-28 (e.g., I liked to think of JMS/Jenkins Spidey as 26, and Millar Spidey as around 28). Current Spidey strikes me as about 24-25, and since he and Jessica Jones are supposed to be the same age, the same would be true for her. But the larger point is that, to me, odds are the two of them are the youngest members of the team.

It works for cap because he had the side kick in place... makes the jump easier. Same with flash and batman... Worked for lantern because the corps had multiple GL's.

Weve seen the legacy attempt in spider-man... it was called clone saga... didnt work that well for most.

Well, Jessica Drew is a difficult case due to accelerated aging and all that. I'd put her at early 30s at most

Ms Marvel, late 30s I'd say for her military career.

Mockingbird was supposed to have completed a PHD in Biochemistry BEFORE she joined SHIELD so she's at least in her mid-30s, and Hawkeye is around the same age.

    Dunno about Luke Cage.

The simplest way to put it is to say that Spidey & Bucky (and Jessica Jones) are more than likely the only ones not in their 30s. Other than that, you'll confuse yourself just thinking about it.

In either case, he's among the most experienced of the Avengers, considering that he and the FF were more or less the first heroes on the scene.

Does anyone remember Spider-Woman's age? She might be younger.

Bucky's probably roughly the same age right now (if Bucky aged five years between World War 2 and the beginning of Brubaker's run.)

Well, Hawkeye and Iron Man came along shortly after Spidey, so it's not a big difference there (11 years VS 10 years, for example.)

Wolverine's been active for over a century. And he's a baby compared to Thor.

People forget that Peter had a 5 year high school reunion and then years later a 10 year high school reunion It's pretty hard to put him under 28 after that.

I remember one of the writers pegged him at 27, which makes sense. I'd be 27 at my 10 year high school reunion.
