I don't want to be that guy, but I don't like seeing the word hiatus attached to low-selling series. I've been enjoying the heck out of "Vengeance of Moon Knight" and I don't want to see it go. But that is the nature of things.
And it's also not official, so why lament?
Still, I will pick this up because Shadowland sounds interesting overall and in support of Moon Knight.
Tried getting into Moon Knight a couple of years ago and just couldn't do it. I'll definitely be picking this up, though.
Shadowland is quickly growing a lot bigger than I expected it to, but I'm kind of glad. It's already forced me to reevaluate my pull list and drop things I'm bored with but may have otherwise continued to get just "because." (I'm looking at you, Brightest Day.)

"The end result is that Moon Knight is actively attempting to be a hero instead of savagely assaulting his foes, which doesn't suit Daredevil's plans at all"
This doesn't make sense. DD wants to stop Moon Knight for NOT using unmeritorious violence in his war on crime? WTF is going here? This is getting a bit ridiculous, no?
All these numerous tie-ins are thankfully quelling my concerns about the main Shadowland event being over stuffed with too many characters since so many of who were orginally thought to be involved are getting their own little side stories. Does this mean Elektra will have her own mini, too? If there's one character I'd greatly prefer to be a main player in the core event, it's here. But as days pass by and more news emerge, that possibly looses likelihood.

maybe those preview pictures werent a lark and Ghostrider will be the mystery character pitted against old Moony. Certainly fits with the whole vengeance thing
quoted from the article...
When "Shadowland: Moon Knight" begins in August, Hurwitz's "Vengeance of the Moon Knight" series will go on hiatus.
This really pi$$es me off. Moon Knight and Daredevil are two of my favorite characters. I'm terribly excited about Shadowland. I'm considering buying most, if not all, of the tie-ins, something I've never done for any event.
But why would Marvel put Vengenance of the Moon Knight on hiatus just to launch a supposedly self-contained Shadowland: Moon Knight in its absence? Why not just make Vengeance of the Moon Knight #11, #12, and #13 Shadowland tie-ins? It's not like there was already a multi-part arc going on in Vengeance of the Moon Knight.
The only answer is that under Marvel's current pricing structure, Vengeance of the Moon Knight was a $2.99 title and all limited series are $3.99 per issue. This is just price gouging, pure and simple, and you suck for doing it Marvel!

BOOSTER GOLD (Michael Jon Carter), HAWKEYE (Clint Barton), IRON FIST (Daniel Rand), MOON KNIGHT (Marc Spector aka Steven Grant aka Jake Lockley), NIGHTCRAWLER (Kurt Wagner),
NOVA (Richard Rider)
Why isn't this just being done in the regular monthly book? You would think that Marvel would want to draw interest it. Tie ins usually boost sales a little, especially to lower selling books.
I think the monthly will be back after Shadowland. Brevoort recently commented that they have a new creative team "on deck". He didn't say when they were starting, but sounds like are still plans for the character. Plus, they I don't think they would kill the book after putting him in Secret Avengers. That just another outlet to draw interest to the him.

Don't like the words "going under hiatus.". Didn't Iron Fist go under "hiatus" like a year and a half ago? I'm still waiting for that to return.
