Man, I love King City. It's the most creative thing out there right now, at least that I'm aware of. It's such a fun book. I'm psyched to see what he comes up with next.
I'm gutted that it's not everyone's favourite comic.
It just works on every level for me. After Paul Grist's 'Jack Staff', the comic I most look forward to reading.
I just love the infectious love of cartooning that bursts from every page of Brandon Graham's work. Glorious, glorious stuff.
Has anyone picked up King City #9 or seen it in a shop? It was supposed to have come out last Wednesday but none of the shops around here seem to have gotten it?
It's not out yet.

Pól recommended I try this series out so I got the first edition from the library. Like Pól, I dig books where you can tell the creators are just having a blast working on the book. Volume 1, the ToykoPop edition, was a lot of fun. Just the type of insane new ideas I think comics, as an industry, needs more of. (Even if the book is four years old.) Just great stuff.
Looks like the last six issues, the new stuff Image published, are going to be a bitch to find, though.
