Well, the designs look pretty cool.
A little worried they're going overboard with the Shadowland tie-ins, though. But, hey, don't buy'em if you don't want to read'em.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!
If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

A Colleen Wing mini-series? Hell, I'm in. The new characters look pretty cool. And, for reference, here's a profile of the pre-existing team member, Black Lotus.
Shadowland is getting a little overstuffed, but most of the tie-ins seem skippable if you're not interested.

Awesome. First Blood on the Streets and now this. Even more so than Misty, Colleen is one of my favorite underutilized characters in the Marvel U, and now she's getting a starring role in a mini-series tying into my most anticipated event in nearly a decade? Count me in!

This sounds great as well! There are so many good things coming out with Shadowland! I'm going to try this and the Misty Knight mini. I will skip the Power Man one though.

Interesting to see the famous Daughters of the Dragon on opposite sides within this Shadow land event.![]()
Hmmm on the fence. I mean I LOVE Colleen Wing but i don't really care about the other chicks. I wish Tarantula and Arachne were with them.
I'm scared! I know this will be very very emotional confrontation!Jason Henderson:"What I really want to accomplish for the relationship between Colleen and Misty is the final disposition. When they come out of this, they will have an understanding of where they stand with one another."

On what planet does Colleen "take orders" that she'd be through with them? That alone makes me doubt this series. This suggests a clear lack of knowledge of the character. There was never an imbalance between Colleen and Misty beyond Iron Fist being Misty's love interest, which automatically elevated her.
on one hand, i feel like Marvel is putting out WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to many tie-ins to what is supposed to be a more "small contained event"
on the other, so far they all look pretty interesting.
hmmmm.
============ Just say "NO!" to $4 books. ============
Not to say the obvious, but again, the tie-ins are getting a lil' hefty.
I may get this in trade. I'll wait and see. The main title and Daredevil maybe be enough for me for now, but I'll def. check them all out.
Still pretty excited.

Those character sketches are butt awful.
Oh, look, the token japanese teen "cool" chick! She's even got headphone-esque things in her hair. WOW. Ugly ass moto boot things too. The ice cold dragon lady in green! barf. All so pedantic.
It does seem like they're starting to go overboard, but I'm willing to give the first issue a shot, at least.
I'm starting to get kind of excited about Shadowland, where last month I didn't really 'get it'. I'd be on board with pretty much every tie-in they've been announcing, if I didn't have a constant nagging doubt in Marvel's ability to price them fairly. DC has no trouble pricing virtually ALL their minis at $3, why does Marvel have to do that when they are constantly selling more product???
I would be excited and would be asking my LCS to advance order these if I knew they would be priced at $3 (or even 3.50), but the fact that, at $4 a pop I'd be spending, what...$11 more at this point, I can't even get myself to commit at all.
Sorry, but it sucks to see Van Lente's excitement over a new character, Johnston bringing back some really great characters and now this and because Marvel has to charge more for minis, a lot of these books won't sell half as well. For $3, I would grab a book off the shelf and buy it with little thought. At $4, I'd ponder, flip through it and then decide it wouldn't be worth it.
I'm definitely interested in the new Shadowland series. I love both Colleen and Misty and I can't pick a side on who's right or wrong. The other female assassins are in my opinion very generic and have been done to death. You have your typical "Kill Bill Go-Go Chiaki" school girl, geisha inspired Japanese assassin, and the Transformer-esque chick with robotic implants. I have a ton of ideas based on female assassins that I would have been more than glad to share with Marvel. One of which my name derives from. Shade.
