CBR: Joe Kubert Talks "Dong Xoai, Vietnam 1965"
The legendary co-creator of Sgt. Rock tells the true story of twelve Special Forces soldiers stationed fifty-five miles outside of Saigon in a new original graphic novel from DC Comics, "Dong Xoai, Vietnam 1965."
I'm really looking forward to this. Kubert's recent Sgt Rock mini (The Prophecy) was really good. His art and his dialog are still really strong - hope Dong Xoai will be a good one
This stuff just looks fantastic. The man still has it after all these years.
I gotta say, he was an inspiration to learn from, and it's great to see these pencil works getting out there for all of us to learn from!
He sure does.

Oh yeah. I am buying this!
Kubert is like Eisner.
With all their achievements.
The remarkable and perhaps best work done late in their career.
Really? I just finished up the Prophecy series and absolutely nothing stunning about the story. Artwork is so-so except for the cover art which is real nice and the story itself is very weak.
Sgt. Rock fan but that series especially the ending needs much more filling than what was given.
