It's worth reporting. After all the arguments about how Kick Ass and Losers supposedly underperformed, and the worries that Comc Book Movies may no longer be a draw, it's nice to see Iron Man 2 doing so well. And some people were wondering why Europe and UK got the film first (not even Avatar could have competed against the World Cup).

Still, their review of this film is worthless and wrong.

That argument always annoys me. Just because a movie that can be defined as a "comic book movie" doesnt do well, doesnt mean the genre as a whole suddenly wont make money. If a rom-com doesnt do well, do people talk about how rom-coms are no longer a draw? No. If an action movie underperforms, do people talk about how there may not be any more action movies made? of course not. The poorly performing films simply are unlikely to get a sequel.

Losers and Kick Ass have "underperformed" because they are based off comics that hardly set the world alght in terms of sales numbers to begin with. Ie, they have performed in line with how the comics they are based on have.

Iron Man 2 was great by the way.
