It is quite bothersome that this film essentially bombed during its opening weekend. It was an excellent movie. I've never read the comic series but the film rocked all kinds of @$$. I hope some word-of-mouth gets around and that the box office bring-in picks up some steam.

a friend saw it and said it was great. i hope so, 'cuz the comic sucked. it was essentially a story-boarded movie pitch.

that's the state of comics these days, i guess.

I saw this Saturday and it was the best movie I've seen all month. I don't know what the comic was like but the film was a great mix of action with some comedy that made sense to the story and a great ending.

Agreed. This was a great, FUN flick.

Never read the comic, but I'm not sure I'd be interested in a more cynical take on the characters at this point.

    Thumbs up

I guess I'm one of the few people that read the comic back in the day and it was great IMO. I've forgotten most of it, so seeing the movie should bring back some pleasant memories of the series...
