Bobbi is awesome. She's a perfect compliment to one of my favorite characters, Hawkeye, while still being a great character by herself.

I'm looking forward to the H&M ongoing as much as any of the Heroic Age Avengers books.

That is the best costume Wanda has ever had. The gypsy look is perfect for her.

I don't hate Bobbi's current outfit as much as some. Remember the Avengers Annual where Captain America defeated her by meaneuvering her into a place where her sleeves would get caught on some bushes? Not her finest moment.

Thats the one time that the sleeves were shown to have drawbacks. It was a meta - ironic moment. Kinda like if someone ever grabbed the wings on Caps mask while fighting with him or shot him in the chest because the star is such an easy target. For the most part, I'll suspend disbelief that these things don't happen constantly.

In both the case of the Witch's gypsy outfit and Bobbi's current gear, they are very "real world" ready designs which is the trend currently. Looks that translate easily to film or have a sense of "realism".

Eww. Those are fug. Talis, please post more classic West Coast Avengers scans to wash that bitter taste away.

"real world" readiness has NO place in my comic books, thank you. Insanely hypocritical to have some longhaired norseman with a magic hammer flying around and no one gives a rat's tail about "real world readiness", but you can't have a heroine in loose-flowing sleeves, pirate boots, and some smashing eyewear. No, that'd be TOO SILLY. Just ignore the freshly reincarnated idiot with a big A on his forehead and his little toboggan shield while we're at it.

I like Mockingbirds current look and find that it references some of her earlier looks (Huntress) but without the sleeves (jacket excepted) she looks a bit generic - and similar to her DC "counterpart" Black Canary (in her early BOP uniform) or as a low rent Black Widow - because of the gauntlets. I also miss the distinctive shape of her mask.

    Cool pics.

Has anyone here read any of her pre-Mockingbird appearances? I have a few issues of Astonishing Tales where she hangs out with Ka-Zar and tries to find Ted Sallis' super-soldier formula. She doesn't get to fight much, but it's cool seeing a character developing into something more.

Has anyone read her appearance as the Huntress? Was it any good? I saw a copy of the book it's in, but it was prohibitively expensive. Maybe we can get a reprint of Bobbie's stories to coincide with the series.

With her science background (Oracle), archer loving, bird themed, costumed athlete identity (Black Canary), and former identity of "Huntress", Mockingbird is quite the one -woman "Bird of Prey" isn't she?

Be a kick to see a Marvel/DC crossover pitting Bobbi against or teaming her with the entire Birds team.

Hmmm...would be fun to see. I think that she could kick their collective tails. But it depends on who the writer is and it certainly depends on which interpretation of Mockingbird is being used.

The alternate cover for Hawkeye & Mockingbird #1 is so much better than his Black Widow piece, she was packing the pounds on hers.

I prefer the new costume but it needs an emblem or something to mkae her stand out as a super-hero and not just "nutjob".

    Love the slutty kneepads though.

I consider Bobbi's new costume, especially the four-button variant in the most recent issues, one of the best female superhero outfits ever. It says "badass" instead of "eye candy".

I'm very pleased that we are seeing the puffy sleeves via the overcoat as much as we have been in the Hawkeye&Mockingbird book. Thanks!

That old costume was atrocious. It may have been distinctive, but it was distinctively ugly! New costume is miles above what the old one was. It says, "Hey, I kick ass" rather than "Hey, I a fairy."

Also, Carol has some weird anatomy going on in that first picture.
