No, what's sad is actually people not being able to handle people discussing the Superman/Superboy situation. Nobody really forces anyone to participate in said discussion, I don't see the problem really. The discussions not hurting anybody, plus it's par for the course on forums dedicated to comics.

Let's all calm down for a moment and enjoy the Happy Meal figures of the show, now with more Black Manta:

I've been done with the discussion. I'm one of the few that would rather wait and let character development take it's course

I dont mind a good comic discussion as much as the next guy but raging over a storyline that pretty much just got started is a little irritating. You cant expect Superman to just magically accept Superboy overnight as something like that takes story development for him to warm up to the guy. Also since all we got is that this Superman isn't like the Superman from the comics type of arguments the debate isn't anything new. This is a completly different Superman from the comics and even from the Timm universe and people are just going to have to just deal with it and see if he will improve for the better.

She didnīt ask for that but itīs something she needs to live with because now thatīs her baby too.
So she is torn between love and repulsion because this is a baby born from her flesh that deserves to be loved by its mother but it is also a reminder of the violence that was inflicted upon her.
I know you qualified it as much as you can, but I still think that's a woefully bad analogy. It's nothing like being pregnant, and certainly nothing like being raped.

And again, there' s big issue in that there's a teenage boy who potentially has all of Superman's powers, or perhaps will have them malfunctioning, and giving him guidance is matter of public safety. Hell, even sending him the train with the amazons is better than just pawning him off on Batman and a robot (neither of whom are around all that much) and hoping for the best.
How much Superman's current dickery bothers you is a matter of personal taste. But let's not pretend it's anything other than pure dickery.

No, but a pretty heinous violation nonetheless. If you found out someone was stealing your "used tissue paper" to make babies, odds are, you'd feel pretty violated.

He's never adopted Superboy either; that's not what any one's complaining about here.

People can complain about an aspect of a tv show they don't care for without being enraged or over-serious.

Sure I can; the 1 from the comic is rarely written this unlikable.

Nope. Cartoon Network has some Game award show airing that weekend

A teenage girl who can melt things with her eyes, wander carelessly through a hail of gunfire if she so chose, and bend steel in a heartbeat? Sure. They knew the Amazon spears and what not couldn't hurt her. It got her and Clark to pause and listen, for a moment, though.

I don't recall anyone "raging" over it though. Just discussing it, nobody was swearing at other people or anything. Some people participating in said discussion did not seem to feel this would be out of character for comic Superman, which is utterly and completely wrong.

You cant expect Superman to just magically accept Superboy overnight as something like that takes story development for him to warm up to the guy.
No, but you can expect people to usually compare any supposedly "good" version of Superman to his comic counterpart. Not to mention there is warming up to the guy and then there is flat out refusing to help him master his powers when he asks you, when one would imagine whether Superman is evil, good, a dick, etc. he'd know the type of utter devastation that could be caused with the misuse of his powers, accidental or on purpose.

Also since all we got is that this Superman isn't like the Superman from the comics type of arguments the debate isn't anything new. This is a completly different Superman from the comics and even from the Timm universe and people are just going to have to just deal with it and see if he will improve for the better.
Which doesn't mean people can't discuss it and discuss how even a supposedly good version of Superman doesn't really compare to the comic version. Whenever there is a tv show, movie, etc. based off a comic character people are always going to make comparisons to the original version.

At the end of the day, when people in the topic begin calling others sad(not that you yourself did) well..then I sort of have to stop and say: wait a minute, we are all(or mostly) grown men discussing a show aimed at 13-14 yr. olds in depth, nobody has any business calling anyone else sad. It's sort of like a fat kid going to a fat camp and then making fun of other kids attending the camp for being fat.

You mean the same weapons that hurt Doomsday?

You mean the same ersatz Doomsdays that Batman and basic Amazons could fight well enough and who only stood much of a chance against anyone involved due to sheer numbers and a surprise attack since they were such pale imitations? Whereas the original Doomsday would've massacred them all solo (save Superman and Supergirl, of course... maybe Wonder Woman too)?

    Yeah.

See, it's stuff like that that creates the whole "raging" impression.

Of course there is no "utterly and completely wrong" here as everything being said is a matter of opinion. But when people shout "YOU"RE WRONG, YOU"RE WRONG!" it gives a distinct and legitimate impression that they're pissed off about having their opinion challenged or disputed.
