I'm with you. I think I can name around half a dozen places on Earth where that style of baby carrying is completely normal. For that matter I was recently lectured by a mom about her baby sling and why it was completely safe. Understand, I didn't ask, but she still felt compelled to tell me.

Ya know, thinking about this episode, I really hope that we learn that the League put a hurt to The Light during the five year gap.

As far as the League knows, The Light killed Real Roy, Blue Beetle and put earth in the cross-hairs of dozens of alien empires with that 16 hours stunt. I don't care how many resources The Light has, the League's got plenty of resources too. When are they gonna draw a line in the sand?

    *edit*

Also, they killed Gar's mom. So yeah, they have alot of blood on their hands, all personal.

If it did talk, with my luck it would be like that WB frog and only do it when nobody else was around.

Well perhaps the League is responsible for the disgrace and removal of Ocean Master from The Light. The Light is just really good at bouncing back, they are basically the equivalent of Xanatos in the series.

The sure way to take down The Light is to have them fight amongst themselves. Otherwise they will always bounce back as long as they are united

Or put the screws to the public ones. Queen Bee and Lex can't exactly slink into the shadows and if the League gets creative, they can make life pretty hard for them. They already had Miss Martian impersonate Queen Bee.

I doubt that Weisman and Vietti will make the League vengeful though. They are likely not going to step out of the bounds they agreed upon with the U.N.

There's vengeful, and then there's pressure. Given all the losses, I have a hard time not seeing the League as being extra dedicated to taking down The Light.

It would be very appropriate that The Reach would consider Earthlings meat because they view the planet as a potential resource.

That seemed pretty colloquial to me. Funny (funny that he thinks its funny), but colloquial. The meat thing you brought up could mean he is of alien origin and that is his perspective on Earthlings, or it could simply mean he's a psychopath/sociopath and that is his view on people in general. If its the former, from the way he's talking he's been here long enough to at least talk like us.

I have this idea for the next X-teme Games Gold Medal Event--Bear Tickling. Its like Bull riding but more X-treme! You are timed on how long you can tickle a bear before he attacks you.

Well I am think the the colloquial speech is just a result of the trope of the genre. Consider all the Star Wars movies, most aliens talk in colloquial "English" as well. The Reach in the comics had a very colloquial speech mannerism as well, even while retaining an alien culture. Just chalk it up to them having really good translators.

Yeah, that one specifically stood out to me (along with the "meat" references).

With his weapon being so similar to Blue Beetle's I tend to think Black Beetle or a similar Reach agent is all but a given at this point.

I agree. It makes the League look really ineffectual.

I'll third that. I don't want 'vengeful' league, but given the damage the "Light" has done not just to the JL but to a multitude of innocents, you would think shutting down the light would be the League's top priority.

That said, I'm still enjoying this show a great deal. :)

I don't see why being ineffectual at completely destroying the Light is a bad thing. In my mind it should be just as nearly impossible to shut down the league of the world's foremost super-villains as it is to destroy the Justice League.
