Flash and J'onn play a game in one episode(I forget the name, but you punch robots until one of their heads pops up). In another episode Superman and Wonder Woman were clearly making plans to go out to eat somewhere together and trying to get Batman to come along as well.
Yeah, lots of heroes were just hanging out in-between assignments in JLU (Rock'Em Sock'Em Robots is the game name you're looking for). I watched a few yesterday, in fact! "Hunter's Moon" ends with Vixen & Shayera having some sorta beverage together in the Watchtower, talking about John Stewart.

Does anyone else thinks its strange that, when the Light sent six members of the JL to be WMDs, they sent Batman and Hawkgirl instead of say, Dr. Fate, Captain Marvel, and GL Hal.

Because Babs as Batgirl is so rare.

It is a likely homage to the DCAU orignal Justice League members.

That's great, but this show isn't about the old JL cartoon and their not even in the same universe. If, part of the Light's plan was to frame the JL(in a way) by having them being WMDs, having Batman and Hawkgirl on the list makes little sense.

It likely wasn't to cause as much damage as possible (if it was they would have likely sent more than six people), it was more just to make Earth the center of galactic attention.

By relevant, I mean that the concept of tactile telekinesis is just really arbitrary and doesn't make a whole lot of sense without the theory. It's one problem I have with the DCnU Superboy. We're told he's partially genetically based on Superman, but besides that, there's not really any connection between the two.

I think the best way to distinguish Superboy from Superman is his personality. It's not like people worry too much about making Robin different from Batman.

Well they needed a few powerhouse League members on Earth to take down clone Roy and the team

Except that they do make Robin very different from Batman. He's brightly colored and light hearted in contrast to Batman's stoic nature.

Yeah that is a difference in personality not powers though, TTK would not automatically make Superboy have his 90s personality (like some people seem to wish).

No, because we don't really know that they sent them there to be WMDs." Clearly they were sent there to stir things up, make a mess, and grab attention while doing it, but there has to be more to it than just bustin' the place up for the sake of bustin' it up. We just haven't found out that it was yet.

Did they explain how John didn't know about all this, or did I miss that?

But it would not even change his character design though and he would still be voiced by Nolan North.

No, John himself is mystified that that the Green Lantern Corps and Guardians Of The Universe were not aware of the incident on Rimbor as well.
