It will be very interesting to see the Scarlet Witch back. From what I gather from previous information and the current story this will be a kind of redemption story for Wanda. I love redemption stories and would like to see Wanda back on the Avengers team.
Wow Allan is finally back. July just got heavier for me.
Sounds good. Can't wait for it to come out. Been a long time coming, and hopefully we'll get a redeemed Wanda.
Hopefully Heinberg did his research and is gonna use Sublime/That Which Endures in the story to salvage Wanda.
I know some people will likely have a tizzy over this. But it's easy enough to No-Prize.Heinberg: There is one thing readers should prepare themselves for. Since Jim, Tom and I started this project almost two years ago, we forecasted as best we could about what the Marvel Universe would look like when the book finally came out. But it turns out we were a little bit off. So, in "Avengers: The Children's Crusade," Steve Rogers is wearing his Captain America uniform and Iron Man is wearing his classic red and gold armor. Apart from that, there are plenty of surprises in store, and Jim Cheung is delivering the best work of his career so far. I cannot believe how lucky I am to be working with him. Especially on a project that means so much to both of us.
Cheung: Allan's pretty much covered the topic of Cap and Iron Man's outfits not being absolutely up-to-date with the Marvel continuity, so I hope readers will forgive and overlook that fact and just enjoy the ride that we're taking them on.
Bucky was occupied with another mission, and Steve felt the YA would react better to Captain America. Since they're fanboys.
And Iron Man's new armor was down for repairs or something, and he grabbed another model off the rack. Or it's Tony's Wandabuster Amror.![]()

About freaking time.
Well, these grafs pretty much mean I won't be getting this. Wanda has NOT always been an ambiguous figure. She was briefly in the Brotherhood and reformed four decades ago. She's been a hero ever since, up to the moment Bendis decided to write her. She was one of the most heroic Avengers ever, in many ways the heart of the team.Heinberg: In my experience, no one is ever purely good or purely evil. The Scarlet Witch is a perfect example. She's always been a ambiguous figure in the Marvel Universe. She started out as part of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, then she became an Avenger, then she tried to destroy the Avengers. So, in the end, is she a hero or a villain? Jim and I thought it was important the Young Avengers wrestle with the idea that, even in a super-powered world of ostensible heroes and villains, it's not always easy to tell one from the other.
...
Heinberg: The Young Avengers are all present and accounted for, as are a number of the Avengers who appeared in "Young Avengers." Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel and Luke Cage among many, many others.
And since the "Avengers" Heinberg decided to mention as key in this story -- Spider-Man, Wolverine and Luke Cage -- shouldn't appear at all, considering they've had maybe a handful of scenes with Wanda over 40 years, that just adds to my feeling. Why not Simon, Clint and/or Hank? They all actually have tons of stories with Wanda that people can go back and enjoy and that make their presence in this story make sense. The characters have relationships and it would make sense they'd be involved in finding Wanda (hell, two of them already know where she is).
I'm incredibly disappointed -- I was hoping this would be a series that would fix Wanda, if that's even possible.
They are wearing the armour/costumes Wanda last saw them in so as to not freak her out.
Simples.
I Will Raise my Throne above the Stars of your Gods
Also, you would seriously think that 'Uncle Pietro' might want to help out here, or that someone would at least have the courtesy to tell him what's going on.
I Will Raise my Throne above the Stars of your Gods
I can't wait! Really, I can't! The only bad thing I can think of is I have to wait one and a half years to finish reading it...
Good news here as they plan to explore the relationship between Billy, Thomas and Wanda. But what about Vision? I know that they really want to concentrate on bringing Wanda back but he has as big a role in Wanda's life as anyone. I hope they don't ignore him for too long.
