I hoping for a Muppet Joke within the first few issues to tie into Langridge's current Muppet show work.![]()
Another Thor series = okay.
That art = no way...
Another new series. Man. How many books can Marvel put out? 135? 265? 1,242?
There is not enough support for all these books.
"Calm down, call Batman." - Greg Capullo
Not quite sure what a think about this series in general, but those GiANTman and Iron Man redesigns look cool. Also i enjoyed the jokes in the sketches.

Sounds alright, I'm not sure about the art.
My quick thoughts on this new Thor series and the interview with the writer.
1. The current market can't sustain 2 ongoing Thor series. However, this series isn't aimed at the narrow and rapidly shrinking existing older teen and adult readership. This series is aimed at new readers of all ages and will most likely be sold in other venues outside of the direct market (in addition to being sold in the DM).
2. Langridge hit the nail right on the head with his comments about the direction that Marvel superhero comics have went since the 90's (I think things went to hell when the Quesada/Jemas regime started calling the shots).
3. I have a feeling that this new revised and updated origin for Thor is partly or fully based off of the movie version of the character.
4. I will definitely be checking this series out.
Thor teaming up with Captain Britain? Heck yes! I'm interested in the series; not enough to know that i'll be getting it for sure, but it's definitely likely.![]()
Every man is guilty of the good he did not do.
This sounds great! Looks awesome, too.

The art looks nice
i like the design alot more than the current thor.
northlanders .american vampire. bprd. concrete. detective comics.
I think I'm excited. This is pretty much what I've been wanting for years. A book that tells more classic Thor adventures alongside the main title.
Also, I agree that the design for Thor's costume here looks sweet. Better than Copiel's.
I'll be definitely be checking this out!
I'll be checking it out. Landridge's other work reminds me a lot of Max Fleishcer and some other '30's style stuff.
I would like to see him on a retro Captain America or Fawcett Captain Marvel.
His humor and wholesomeness would work great with Shazam - we'll see how it plays out with Thor.
I was actually hoping for a Paul Tobin, Kevin Grevioux, or Kieron Gillen 2nd 616 Thor title.
As to whether or not a second Thor title can be carried - I say yes, as long as it's quality = there are a lot of rabid Thor fans out there.
