Finally saw the first three episodes and while it isn't what I'm used to, I liked the humor quite a bit. I've always enjoyed Spider-Man and his amazing friends and this seems more like an update of that cartoon rather than an adaptation of anything in the comics.
My Heroes For Hire: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, The Falcon, Ant-Man (Scott Lang). White Tiger IV and Powerman would be interns.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

I dunno, having a kid growing up bad and getting his life together is a good message in my eyes.
Specially with Fury being black and helping Luke get out of that situation.
I'm not focusing on the bad but on the good.
That's what Luke Cage was about.
Well... i am not speaking "realistically."True. However, "realistically" speaking, it is implausible for that type of experiment to be done on an under age teenager in the prison system.
I am speaking cartoonistically.
You test stuff to make sure it works, that's how stuff is done. For that matter, why would someone want to perform an illegal experiment on an inmate that would give said inmate super powers?
Why would you perform an illegal experiment on some dude in jail? Well... because it's illegal and people probably wont care about the dude in prison. You can kill him later to get rid of the evidence.
It's a good message, but it is also an over used/over done cliche story when it comes to black superheroes. Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem with Cage's original origin since that origin was a product of it's time and it is what it is. I'm just tossing out a possible theory for why they didn't review his origin in the FURY FILES segment.
Where has it been stated in the show (or in the comics) that Fury helped Cage get out of his situation?Specially with Fury being black and helping Luke get out of that situation.

Yes I know that, which is why I put the word "realistically" in quotes.Well... i am not speaking "realistically."

Again, illegal experiments in modern day American prisons for juvenile would be virtually impossible to pull off and would be pushing the boundaries of believability even in a superhero comic. And planning on killing him later in order to get rid of the evidence doesn't make much sense either since the experiment is to give him super strength and INVULNERABILITY.You test stuff to make sure it works, that's how stuff is done.

These past three episodes have been horrible. They should have just continued with spiderman from spectacular spider-man cartoons and his relationships. I am not enjoying the shield story. This is more like spider-man and friends.
...Yeah, I'm a brony and I'm not a damn shame of it. But dont worry, I'm not the ones who buy the actual toys, go to Brony conventions, look at Rule __ material, or anything 'extreme'. I just like the show and fanart/fanvideos (i.e. My Little Pony + Team Fortress 2).
Without getting too deep, I love the animation and the use of visual acting (i.e. Facial expressions), the characters are fun, music's creative and dare I say: Better than any recent Disney music in the past decade or two, it's made by Lauren Faust the one behind Powerpuff Girls, Iron Giant, and other cartoons that have strong female leads without the show being too girly (Compare the 80s' My Little Pony and 2010's My Little Pony... there is a huge gap), and the community of other fans are just very fun and funny to talk to or hang out with.
The only downside to it is that EVERYONE assumes that this show is geared towards 3 year olds and when I tell them a vast amount of men watch it, they assume these men are gay... again, it's one of the those don't-judge a book-by-its-cover kind of deal.
Overall, it's a fun show. The writing and humor is smart, animation is top notch, and it makes me happy(cant say the same for the first two episodes of USM... speaking of USM)
....
Back to USM.I wonder how dark/mature USM can get after the First Season. At the very least, they can lower the cut-away jokes and audio cues that accompany them. I want to see if they have the balls to kill of Harry Osborne
