Good point. We do have a buttload of episodes left for that kind of thing.

Last episode was certainly a step up from the previous few. Still hate the cut aways and "in your face" cool attitude they try to give to all the kid superheroes though. I'm also getting tired of White Tiger being played as the stereotypical "angry latina." However, Clancy Brown and the fact that Taskmaster looked a lot like "Tobias Funke" in his gym teacher disguise redeemed it for me. 3/5.

I wouldn't say angry latina as much as she's responsible and likes to adhere strictly to the rules. That she's paired with a guy like Spidey who swings by the seat of his pants is bound to cause friction.

    Unhappy

It is now For a Certain, that this show ultimate spider-man or Disney's LooneyTunes what ever people call these days,

is destined to be canceled after first season.

Its too childish, there is no story and even though its for 5~7year old kids, there is no humor or any laughs in it.

It not even funny or has some LOL lines.

man it horrible to watch Disney and marvel killing spider-man.

Come on. if they think about their fans and supporters?

then I think they should sell and give the 'rights of spider-man animations' back to Sony and give us the better show!

Now that i think of it, I think we're lucky that Sony still has the Rights of spider-man movies.

Just think about the posiblities what Disney and marvel could have and might do.

I guess the Animes were much better in tone due to Marvel not having complete control over it,....
you see, in order to make a good Marvel movie or cartoon show, just don't let them work on it....Its easy

Clancy Brown notwithstanding, I gave up on it after they put Taskmaster into some really short shorts. This show isn't for people like me, I've accepted it, and I'm moving on. The animation is beautiful, but that's not enough of an incentive to watch Taskmaster get beaten with dodgeballs. The knife was twisted when I watched Avengers a little later on and saw an awesome interpretation of Luke and Danny tearing it up.

Possibly break the opening weekend box office record?

So they finally did Ava's profile with the last episode, and not surprisingly did not mention much of her actual origin. I will be very interested to see how far they are willing to go with that for the cartoon? I mean this is a character that was created just for the cartoon, and in interviews Paul Dini mentioned coming up with the character and her origin. Was he referring to the origin that Gage wrote about in Avengers Academy #24 involving having her whole family killed by someone after Hector (Which I just recently learned is just a slightly modified version of events from Spectacular Spider-Man v1 50-52)?
That's awfully dark for the tone they've started with...although is it totally different from Peter's origin story of a murdered uncle? I wouldn't expect them to ever go into full heart-wrenching detail like AA#24 but will it ever be mentioned that she like Peter comes from a tragic background? That would certainly support the idea that this series will be getting darker as time goes on.

On a different note, since interestingly enough they used the same Tony Stark voice actor (Adrian Pasdar) from the Iron Man anime for the Iron Man appearance in Ultimate, does that imply that they are going to do the same thing and use one of Wolverine's anime voice actors (Milo Ventimiglia or Steve Blum) as the voice of Wolverine in the Ultimate cartoon?

I'm still puzzled by how stupid the end to the Iron Spider episode was. I mean I get that the message was supposed to be "Be Yourself". Emphasis on the supposed to be...as I'm pretty sure from what I saw on my screen that Peter perfectly modified the Iron Spider armor to work for him, was able to stop crashing into walls, fire plasma beams, and hack with his own super computer.
He uses this suit to defeat the villain...then for some reason decides to go back to his original cloth costume. Again I get why he had to from a show standpoint that nothing is allowed to change...but from an logic standpoint it was an enormous fail to not actually show why he would go back?
What would have made way more sense to me is for him to either A) defeat the villain as Spider-Man instead of Iron Spider or at least B) Just barely defeat the villain as Iron Spider still showing signs or limited mobility or something that demonstrates his inability to fully utilize his natural powers to serve as reason why he would not keep the armor?

Loved the latest episode, Taskmaster was soooo cool. Can't wait for the Hulk next week.

    What.

Anyway, pretty cool showcase of Taskmaster, short-shorts notwithstanding. Makes me happy that he was pretty damn serious and cool most of the time, kids these days need to know more of the wider spectrum of supervillains that are out there!

Oh come on! Taskmaster was destroying them until they pulled the element of surprise on him with the switcheroo, although the one thing that irked me about the scenario is that his helmet should've had night vision as well. He just seems like the type of guy to have those kind of preparations in place. And I excused the shorts as him having a discuss, a really skeevy one that that, what with the pornstache.

Otherwise he was depicted as quite the capable and dangerous threat. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back with some variation of the web-shooters.

EDIT: And they made his classic suit work. I didn't expect it, what with the white undies, but he pulled it off.

So this was the first episode without any real cutaway gags. We didn't really see the rest of the team. The episode mainly focused on Spider-Man, Hulk, MJ, Nick Fury (at least a little bit) and Zzzax.

Curious what people thought of this episode. And its interesting angles since about 95% of it was from MJ's camera.
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

I got to say that I did enjoy today's episode as I do love a good Hulk team up, even if it's with Spidey.

Seeing the two of them battle the Hulk's old foe Zzzax was pretty interesting..given how powerful he tends to get with each energy attack. I'm kind of glad they didn't use the other heroes as they would just get in the way...and defeated faster.

Still, it was a good episode overall.
