"The style of her appearance is very reminiscent of Japanese [culture]," said Claremont. "Her hair is Japanese. She's wearing Japanese style boots. There's definitely an evolution going on. There is still some potential between Kitty and Gambit [as a relationship]. Ro is all for it. She thinks Kitty and Gambit is perfect."
So Kitty is turning Japanese and banging Gambit.

I bought the first 4 or maybe 5 issues and then lost interest, but I kept it on my Pull List, that was until about the Magik storyline. I always intended to go back and buy the issues, but they kept getting shoved to the bottom of my priority list! I guess now that the story has gotten so good, I'm gonna have to force myself to purchase all the issues I've missed! I want to read about Slutty Jean!! And Human Kurt sounds like the shizznit!! And that Avengers preview art looked bangin!!!! Can't wait til friday, I'm gonna blow some dough on some back issues of X-Men Fo(rever)!!

Is this the story about how he totally forgot what he'd written not just on the X-books, ever, but like even what he wrote last month?

My point being... this is NOT the story he planned 20 years ago, and it would be good to stop pretending it is.

Hideous costumes, uninteresting plot, cliche dialogue, and rather bland artwork.

No thanks! I'll pass on Claremont's latest fail.

It's clear Claremont ran out of good ideas long ago.

I really do love Claremont. I hated his Revolution run. But I loved his X-Treme and aside from "On Ice" his Uncanny was decent too. I want to pick this up, but I don't really have money for alternate reality stuff.

The art is ok, but I really dislike the costume designs. And I have trouble looking past the fact that this doesn't actually pick up after X-Men #3, it just starts around when Claremont was leaving and changes things that happened even before he left.

And seriously what was the point of changing Remy's last name to Picard?
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

I'm all for the Return of Mr. Sinister/Claremont's version of him anyway.
Sinister was one of the greatest X-Villians until Inferno ended. Then he kinda came back and really didn't do much until Messiah Complex.
