Tekken in general should NEVER be used a measurement of quality. Most of those characters are just gender swaps (Eddie/Christie for example), no different from the old Mortal Komnat ninja days.

I think 30 is probably a safe bet though. 15 characters from each universe, plus maybe 1 or 2 boss characters that are unlockable. I imagine the roster being brought back into 50-60 range in future sequels, assuming MvC3 isnt terrible.

To be fair, Tekken's moved away from that for the most part (Eddy/Christie being the exception).

Well, that seem to all but confirm it. Ryan Penagos is down in Honolulu for something big the same time Capcom is having their Captivate event there. I wonder how far along it is, and how much they well have to show? I remember Kevin Feige saying something about a new Marvel vs Capcom around when Tatsunoko vs Capcom was first being shown.

I don't mind a huge roster if they have it balanced and each "Arcade Game" doesn't need you to fight EVERYONE. And if most of them are unlockable, that's most of the fun. I've currently got a Mugen game set up as Capcom vs Marvel vs DC Now that's a dream game.

And I'm thinking you know Deadpool will be in it. He's easilly one of my favorite Mugen characters.

Can't wait to see some gameplay footage of MVC3, although it sounds like the roster won't be small.

Some characters I hope make it into the roster:
Capcom: Dante(DMC), Amaterasu(Okami), Zero(MMX/MMZ), and PTX-40A(Lost Planet).

Marvel: Thor, Jean Grey, Ghost Rider, and Nova.

Whoa. You've never played Tekken have you? Those are the only 2 characters and Kuma/Panda are the only characters like that.
