Beatles Night On American Idol

Wow, with one exception, I didn't like ANY of it.

Andrew Garcia has just totally lost his way. I didn't care for Bowersox this time, which is very rare. Most everyone else was terrible.

The one exception was Casey Angelface. Good lord, it's not really a Beatles song, but man ALIVE, did he do a nice version of Jealous Guy. I might even prefer it to the original. It was tight, and vulnerable, and there was some genuine tension in the delivery.

Possibly my favorite performance of the year.

I caught one song of this - the blonde girl with a dude on the didijerroo (spelling). I think it was "Come Together". I switched channels. Wish I had realized it was a Beatles theme night, I would've stayed for most of the show.

I rather hated it but the judges LOVED it.

Really, the idea of AMERICAN IDOL dedicating a whole episode to desecration of Beatles songs is even dumber than most of the stupid crossover events Marvel and DC come up with.

I haven't watched Idol much since I always have school. But this year seems really losuy.

I'm disappointed every year on Beatles night. I think these songs are just too distinctively Beatles songs to ever be effectively covered by anyone, as it's rare the occasion I've ever heard someone cover one and enjoyed it. That includes the "I Am Sam" soundtrack from a few years back with all "all-star" line-up of artists.

I was disappointed with Crystal and Siobhan, who are two of my favorites so far.


Who are your bets for getting the boot tonight Gail? I'm thinking tonight might be Tim's night, as I can't imagine him avoiding the cut yet again after all these weeks in the bottom 3.
