Yeah, I'm hoping the cover keeps to it's promise. Here I thought they were putting Colossus up there as a way of letting fans know they haven't forgotten about him but still do nada with him.

well, they've bee screwing him over pretty good. I mean that's doing something spoilers:

they bring him back from the dead and he finds true love, so that she can be sent away in a bullet. But then they bring his sister back!! But it's not really her, but like a demon or something with her memories. But then they bring his GF back! Buuuuut he can't touch her cuz she can't unphase. But he still has his fake sister! Who just got sent into another dimension or something.

Then their gonna kill his buddy Kurt, and nobody's going to care how he feels because everyone's gonna be all about Logan being upset and stuff.

I hope this arc winds up a turning point for Peter. I think there is a lot of ground work laid to make that happen.

I've yet to read it too, but I've seen proof of Colossus being fantastic in it. Like this...

This is what I saw as well. I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Well, except for the horrid Magneto costume. Everything else looks good.

At this point I want them to establish Piotr's character without having his direction be automatically connected to Kitty or Illyana. We need an active direction for the guy. It's a little hard right now due to it being Scott and Emma's show, but even in Astonishing, he was pretty much side-lined as Kitty's love interest. It seemed Whedon only got him for that and tried to write a story with him but even then he was pretty quiet and in the background while everyone else played center-fold.

Whedon himself even stated coming up with a voice for the character was really hard for him and he didn't quite get the character compared to everyone else.

Though I have to say this was one of my favorite Colossus moments by Whedon.

Yeah me too I love how serious he is. I had been out of comics for a long time before I read Whedon's stuff. I didn't even know he had died One of the greatest X-reveals in the history of ever and I totally missed it.

It's funny because I always felt Scott could never be developed as long as Jean was around, and now Scott is stomping Emma's character.

I agree. They had a good opportunity to build him up without being a love interest, instead they spent years focusing on only that. I like them together, but it does seem to hinder his development.

I mean the dude has an uber crappy life, but still.....

I'm goig with CR's rec of having him with the next gen training.
